BFL: The Team Deathbutton/Steroids/Bigman Thread

My big man team is Juggs/Sent/Colossus (anti air).

I like it best for Colussus’ Anti Air Ability, and a top tier charactar that can hang and make the others better.

After Punch Throw in the corner
Low Short+ Colossus AA, Stand Fiercexx Headcrush
**this is unrollable by everyone save Sent and Bh… maybe other big characters who fall fast.
**This outright kills everyone

Versus Sentinel (haven’t tested on other big characters)
{Midscreen} Call Drones, Kick Throw, drones hit, headcrush.
Unrollable, and does full 8 hits.

Juggernaut Punch causes Flying Screen, so you can do combos in the corner that are unrollable with Jab Juggy Punch.

J.Fierce, S. Fiercexx Jab Jugg Punch, OTG Low Shortxx Headcrush.

Jump Fiercexx Bellyflop with Drones Cover can cause lots of funky crossups… but I haven’t got the knack for it.

**Colossus on Point
Call Drones, Stand Fierce (blocked) XX RH Power Tackle. {Colussus Goes Over the enemy and drones have to be blocked the other way, and Colussus lands next to them to combo)

(Corner Only)
J.RH, C. Short+Juggy, C.Forward, Juggy Hits, Command Grab catch them out of air (mash), OTG Low short, S. RH, Sj. jab,short,strong,forwardxx RH power Tacklexx Power Dive.

-TK Tackles own. Especially Sentinel.

-HA owns most assist characters (Psy,Cammy, Commando) for free.

Colossus’ Air Combo with Power Dive can be DHC’d into HSF or Headcrush for instant death.

This is where I need work.

Right now I got C. Short+Colossus, S. Strongxx fierce RPxx HSF. That’s just an *insert assist combo.
Anyone know fast fly combos with Juggy or Colossus??

Anybody know if they allow the Thanos glitch in tournaments? It’s not even as good as Juggs glitch, and doesn’t interupt gameplay in any way.

Im guessing he is talking about the Saving the Power ball glitch but I dont see a reason it shouldn’t be allowed since it isn’t gamebreaking.

Yeah, its not game breaking in anyway, and its even hard to pull off at times.

If you’ve never heard of it gamma, this is how it works.

It’s pretty simple really. Do the Power Super (qcf+pp) and DHC into the next super before the ball leaves his hands. You’ve got to do it pretty fast, within 3 frames. Anyways, when you bring Thanos back in he is still holding the power ball and you can simply throw it by dashing backwards, or doing his qcf+p special. I think there’s a few other actions that release but I don’t remember. Oh, also you can release in the air that way.:evil:

Thats what I normally do in the corner if I miss that combo, I just never thought about it being a reset.:lol: I throw them any chance I get. Jugg FP Throw + Corner = Death There are a thousand and 1 ways to corner combo with Juggs.

gief question:

when coming down from an air throw, what’s the best way to fall?

knees, elbow, body splash, lariat, normal move

They all work good in different situations. I find that the splash (d+fp) works best. It has alot of priority when he’s directly over head and it covers a wider area. I like to use the lariat sometimes cause I like when it wiffs so I can immediately cancel into a SPD or FAB. It gets’em all the time. The elbow drop works great too when everything else gets predictable. The elbow has amazing priority and it delays in the air a sec so it throw off their timing. Gief’s in a world of hurt if they block it though. If you land it immediatly do a SPD cause 90% of the time they won’t jump back right away.

In tournies I normally use Juggs/Hulk/Colossus. Casuals I like to use a combonation of the biggies.

now i’m playing jugg/sent/col(AAA). but i’m having too much problem with cables (mostly with sent-Y backing him).
could you help me ?

Cable can pose a serious problem for the big guys. Especially if he has a good Anti-Air-Assist (ie Doom, Commando, Cyclops). Cable’s main tendancy is to run away while j.fp and beams and/or stun grenades. You’re best bet is to back him into the corner by slowing moving forward by super jumping or short burst of dashes. If you’re using Sentinal make good use of his Unflys. I don’t use Sentinal much, so for better advice I would check all the old Sentinal threads. I’m sure there will be a Sentinal vs Cable thread somewhere in there. As for Juggs and Colossus you just got to play it safe. Once you get him in the corner don’t let him out as if you’re life depended on it (which it does). Also, try snapping Cable out and bringing in the most annoying assist and take them out first, then when Cable comes back in it will be less frustrating. Juggs and Colossus’ snap-ins have really great range, so you won’t have to move in as close.

When opponent comes in. sj.lp,[slight pause], FK Shoulder Charge xxx PowerDive.

Juggernaut:

When opponent comes in, j.fp, headcrush

Hulk:

lk Gamma Charge Vertical xxx lk Gamma Charge Horizontal [hits when opponent comes in] GB, launch, [combo]

I don’t like to use guard breaks myself for fear of missing them. Unlike Cable’s GB, they can be severely punished if you miss. Also, the frames to hit them in before they regain block advantage is alot smaller than Cable’s.

I would try cross-ups instead. For Example:

Using Hulk, I call Colossus AAA and dash under (using a lk gamma charge) when they come in. Colossus hits xxx Gamma Crush (double crush) = Death to any character.

Or with Colossus, I’ll call Thanos capture, lk Shoulder Charge behind them when they come in. Capture hits=free death combo with Colossus.

If you’re using Sentinal try flying over the opponent coming in while calling Jugg’s assist or something like that.

The only thing with cross-ups is that they only work once against a good player. Sometimes one time is all you need. GB are gaurrentied every time.

the damage is ok when glitched but wha type do you choose him?

I stick with Dash Assist for Juggernaut for the fact that it’s very fast, and takes off tremendo damage when he’s glitched. The only cons to it that I can see is if you’re going against characters like: Cable, Sentinel, Doom, Storm, because they can all punish Juggy horrible if they block his assist or avoid it. I never really use the bodysplash assist cause I thought it was too slow, though it may be the same speed as the dash assist.

For anybody that doesn’t already know, if by chance you have an opponent in the corner and you land a fp while in the air, as soon as you hit the ground do another fp, then link in a Juggernaut punch. Because you’re in the corner, the person’s body won’t fly anywhere, so it just hits the ground, use that oppurtunity to do a crouching wk and it’s an off the ground so to speak. Then just link in a Headcrush because the combo is still going from the very first fp and you’ve got pretty much got a near dead character who’ll more than likely be looking to switch out.:cool:
