Better call Saul! premiere Feb 8

Mike showing off those skills he learned erm… in the police? No wonder Phily got wasted. Jimmy telling that bitch to repeatingly stfu made my day.

God damn, was randomly watching beverly hills cop, and recognized a very young mike

Wait, you guys are under the impression Saul is that good a guy? He didn’t return the money to help anyone other than himself. He fucked himself over it. I won’t say he’s bad but he’s not good, either. He’s just an ordinary man. Later on with Walter White he was still a good dude only now that mofo was taking crime money. Instead of saying he’s bad then I say he’s smart as fuck for getting real money.

He didn’t want the money at first. In fact, he wanted to represent them as their lawyer before he was talked into taking the money. Jimmy is a good guy whose put in precarious situations that lead him to trouble. That doesn’t make him bad. If anything, his role as Saul in Breaking Bad makes him, unequivocally, a bad guy.

I remember Eddie Murphy breaking out his judo skills and tossing into a buffet.

Saul has his own moral code. One of the first instances in Breaking Bad, he makes Walt pay him a dollar so they can have attorney-client privileges. With that retainer, he tries his hardest to justify the entire $30,000. He treads on crime, but not outright.

Mike’s incredible ingenuity is basically makes him a realistic version of Batman and Old Snake rolled up in one. I’m always amazed at how he come up with such simple solutions for complex “missions” and think on the fly (e.g., Los Pollos Hermanos Food Truck vs Cartel hit squad). Mike’s a true genius. No wonder Gus pretty much made him “Head of Security”.

Kettleman wife was such a stubborn bitch, ready to ruin her husband’s life over bullshit.

That being said, I still feel the biggest loser is Saul, such a tragic figure. I really feel for him. Just because you try to do the right thing, doesn’t mean anything good will come in return.

dem feelz :open_mouth:

I just love seeing smooth talking lawyers spittin that let’s make a deal game (from full screen) only to get snapback’d by an astronomical retort of GOTTA GET PAID. Chuck had his Lv. 3 X-Factor built up from awkward turtling against phantom Turnabouts while spamming Saul assist
…until it ran out when he got hit with a wakeup Nova Force

P.S. “Blow My Magic Flute” is the retro WIPE DOWN THIS or something. And oohhhh shit DR. GARFIELD & FRIENDS might be linked to Gus?!

20 million dollars? damn dude knows what he wants.

Also, lol at his brother being outside and not feeling the effects, but sure its not all in his head right? lol

From the preview next week, it looks like he is sitting outside, so maybe hes finally getting a handle on his shit. It seems to be tied to Saul, for sure. When sauls doing shitty, his brother is doing bad; when Saul seems to have his shit together, his brother is doing better.

Also, why the hell did Saul this his American Samoa law degree would qualify him to work at a prestigious law firm right out of the gate? Surely he can’t be too butt hurt that the partners wouldnt let him in right off the bat, right?

He could have been any number of lawyers in the office. Just being a lawyer at a law firm doesn’t mean they’ll make you a partner. All sorts of law firms have lawyers doing petty work. They could have given him a job, for sure, but I think that douche torpedo’d the idea.

But this was a prestigious law firm, and saul has the equivalent of a degree by mail.

Which goes to show how smart Saul is, able to pass the bar basically on his own, without a real law school

Based on the previews it looks like Chuck and the blonde chick are about to screw over Saul and steal his 20 million dollar case. Guess this is whats gonna push him over the edge.

Kinda thought that episode was a lil lackluster but it did reveal Saul is more resourceful than he probably gets credit for, becoming a lawyer on his own, keeping it to himself while working a full time job has gotta be tough, the whole grannys getting shafted scenario is something i cant be assed with but I guess its just to set up the later story. Think i was snoozing the first 20 mins.

Chuck just needed a job huh, he definitely has a condition, nigga is insane… criminal mastermind lvl insanity, finding a smoking gun that is gonna turn 50k into 20m lol.

I doubt Chuck, his own brother, and Kim, his good friend, would do that to him. Previews are generally misleading. I mean, previews in Better Call Saul always paint the show to be some super intense drama like Breaking Bad but the show is nowhere near as being as intense as BB.

I’m actually glad it’s not. Saul has his own problems, but he’s not making drugs, dealing with gangs, or killing drug cartels.

BB was only that intense cause you were at the edge of your seat every episode hoping a 747 was gonna crash on top of Jesse. Fuck Jesse.

So am I, but it’s just funny that the episode previews make the show look far more dramatic when it’s not.

Hamlin will probably be the one to facilitate said screwing, if anyone.

I can see myself playing this when I’m working on something lol
