Follow up to this I ordered a Switchcraft USB passthough and some extra USB cables.
I already done a Seimitsu Button Swap and install a Sanwa JLW in the 8Bitdo N30 Arcade Stick
I was almost surprised it fit

had to push back my re-ordering of the EZMod kit since I lost my govt job, then ended up not staying at a second job I got 48 hrs after I was let go. Tentative ordering is next week because Iā€™m working side-work this weekend, but I do not know where I will have it sent since the missus is wanting me to close my Louisiana PO Box when it comes up for renewal next month (if not sooner). Then the saving will start to attend a 2020 major in the US.

surprised my login still works. yay.

monitor query instead of joystick stuff. i am in the market for a 1080p beater that i can use for console games (non-competitive) and general desktop use. i donā€™t do any professional image editing. since all i need is 60 hz, is there a downside to using a monitor that goes up to 120 hz or 144 hz? such as more input lag or ghosting problems? i can get a decent price on a tn ā€œgamingā€ monitor that has high refresh rates, but all i would use it for is 60 hz applications.

thanks guys. btw, pretty cool that sanwa came out with re-engineered silent buttons since the last time i was on srk. seems dope.

Smoother display and whatnot. I use a Sceptre display for my PC and itā€™s 144hz and what not. Itā€™s also overclockable to 165hz. Not at home, so I canā€™t give the model number. Iā€™ll edit this post in the next day or two with that.

Higher refresh rates mean you get smoother motion and less screen tearing.

sorry for taking so long, the monitor I use daily is a Sceptre C27.

Also of note, Iā€™ll probably place my order for my replacement EZMod kit at the end of the week.

Mostly additional cost to the total price of your Display.

Higher Refresh rates means smoother motion and lower lag. It also means you can get a chance of less screen tearing. 120hz (and higher) has less ghosting and lag issues than a 60hz display.

G-SYNC/FreeSync also eliminates screen tearing and reduce lag that could be cased by Vsync.
But that only matters for PC gaming with compatible Video Cards. But we also donā€™t know what the next gen consoles like the PS5 and what ever the next Xbox would hold for us.

Also I think the Xbox one can support 120hz refresh rate output.

Here is the Display I am currently using for PC gaming

you would be correct. PS4 doesnā€™t support any VRR stuff, whereas the XBox systems I do believe support Freesync (canā€™t remember which version, I believe itā€™s v.2 because it was recently patched into a console update).

I think itā€™s AMDā€™s version as AMD makes the CPU/GPU for the console.

have the replacement EZMod on itā€™s way, itā€™ll be here at the end of the week.

EZMod came in, spent about 45ish minutes replacing the pcb boards I accidentally broke the first time. It works like a dream now!

I finally figured out the to the audio file conversions for the MSU-1 hack for Chrono Trigger

Finding all the flac files, and then figuring out the bat file for the file coversion from Flac to Wav, and Flac to pcm format which the MSU-1 uses and put all that onto my SD2SNES.

Also on the same day I got my Super NT.

Just curious, how long you had it, and how many hours play time?

You are asking me or Mike?

You (super nt)

Iā€™ll probably get myself a Super NT this summer. Though I was a child of the 80s, I didnā€™t own an NES growing up (my cousin had it, so I played it tons at his house), the SNES was my first home console (I did own the original Game Boy the year it was released). So I have much more attachment to the SNES than most other consoles.

My biggest fear is getting a Super NT and not really using it much, thoughā€¦ :\

+1

ive kicked the habit of buying stuff I wont use, after a huge sell off of a lot of stuff im only left with a ps3 and og xbox

im curious to know if @Darksakul actually has put some hours n to the system, or if he is like how was, which is get the system, get the perfect av set up and the controls and software and then let it collect dust after 1 decent hour of testing it out

for some reason I still enjoy reading up and watching reviews and videos of such systems even though i know im not gong to buy

like those 1up arcades and the new Capcom box, i know they are not going to better than my wireless vlx set up wth my ps3 og xbox, but i watch them like ts a netflx box set

Exactly.

In all honesty right now, if a couple of select games would make it on the Switch (namely Under Night In-Birth EXE Late[st] and, to a lesser degree, SF4 and SF5), I pretty much wouldnā€™t need any other platform. Hell, at this point, I would barely turn on my PS4 or my XBO, except for some exclusives.
