The original (Saturn?) pcb was cut out and removed. He connected the pads under the turbo slider to the turbo sliders for the face buttons that were already built into the 360 pad.
Geh, didnāt take a close look at the pad. Damn, well there goes that idea (making it look totally un-modded save for having a USB cable).
Maybe Iām misunderstanding, but it seems like the image would get jiggled whenever you did anything with the stick.
Yeah, thatās an incredible amount of work on that stick. As to the RGB NES modding, Iāve been a big fan of this manās work for some time.

I made some boards, 2" by 0.5", made to plug in directly to a USB port, designed for an AT90USB chip to go onto for PSGroove. Itās untested, would likely require a couple of small code tweaks to the PSGroove code that I havent done yet, but if any people with the skills would like a couple of free boards to try out, Iād happily send them out for cost of postage. I ended up with three panels worth, like 150 of them, and I sure as hell dont need that many. No parts, no support, just free pcb if you got the skills and tools to code to atmelās via ICSP.
BOM (from memory, may be slightly off):
1x AT90USB192
2x 22 ohm 0805 resistors
1x 1uF 0805 cap
1x three pin oscillator with built in caps
1x 2x3pin header for ICSP
Optional:
4x 0805 resistors for LEDs
4x 0805 LEDs
I tried reading what you wrote and I have no idea what you said.
That guy is definitely a super stud. I had him RGB mod a New Famicom and PC Engine Duo RX way back in the day. He takes requests (that sick Virtua Stick was for a client too) :bgrin:
i was gonna try something like this with a kit, but since they have the psgroove code on an iphone/ipod touch app now, iām going with that route instead.
Goddamn my Ebay searching sucks. How often do you see sticks of this caliber for sale in the country!
Hands off that stick.
Of course, youāre the first pick.
Wut u gonna do about it?
Thanks for the offer! Guess Iām not sure why youād want to interface to the PSGroove, though?
On a semi-unrelated note, Iām getting ready to dive into USB host development, finally :razzy: I was pretty disappointed to find that most chips do not support USB hubs, so you need one processor per interface :annoy:

Damnit. My Chun stick arrived. It was sent in the madcatz carton that they arrive to madcatz in. In otherwords, my pretty stick is surrounded by foam inside the pretty blue box, which is surrounded by the original protecting foam that it was put in at the factory. And I canāt yet bring myself to open itā¦
I got issues.
EDIT: Oh man. This would look amazing with an LED modā¦fuckfuckfuck out come the tools.
^ i agree sir. Mine is still seal. i stared at her for about 5 min.s straight just moving the box up, down, left and right. checking out the hotness from all anglesā¦I dunno when i am able to open mine, then open the case to mod it lol
Madcatz pulled it on this one. would be great if they started this for each character like they do for the fightpadsā¦-nods heavily-
damn you two. now, iām really tempted to get one.
its like 2d but 3d at the same timeā¦sorry but like only one word i can think of ā¦āmagicalāā¦break down and get one bud. they are nice and only 2k for each system made. so if you miss it, im not sure if they will cost a pretty penny when they go for resale.
At least youāll finally get to see that TE-S PCB and turbo panel daughterboard that nobody would give you a good shot of!
Would be nice, but, sadly, prolly not gonna happen. Madcatz is pulling back on the line, theyāre starting to realize how saturated the market is getting. And it was great to overflow the market when they first started, few people had a taste of a really great stick, and a lot of people still had American sticks, like MAS, and the nubytech, no japanese parts, so it was good to fill it up to everyone who either already owned a good stick, which was extremely rare, but, it also, serious arcade nuts, and even the somewhat serious fighter could step in and pick up one of these bad boys. However, now, itās hardly price point that is keeping people from a stick now, itās mostly because nobody wants one who already has one. Chun Li prolly wouldnāt fare so well if she wasnāt limited edition. Most people can justify two sticks, maybe 4, two for each system, but by en large now, most people donāt have a huge need or want for them. So, it kinda stinks for the line, but marketing sticks is a lot harder than fightpads. Pads are cheap, small, light, and ship easily. Hence why it is the choice of mass production for consoles. Plus, it just requires printing out a different, small piece of vinyl, as opposed to a whole differently colored case, pushbuttons, etc. Plus, artwork is a lot more arduous to design. I agree, it would be cool, but, itās not gonna happen.
yeah i get what u are say. it does kinda suck and sadly i hate to stick activity slow down a bit but its a given. maybe later it will pick back up and what not and for new things ppl make thats interesting to mod our sticks.stick modding will be the thing to do now til next gen console release againā¦
I was going to give high resolution of TE S PCB and the Turbo PCB.
And the Terminal also.
Oh well.
