Ugh, I’m trying to find artwork that matches the green bezel i bought at evo. it’s a pretty light shade of green, and I can hardly find something to match.
You might consider going for a contrasting color (e.g. white or black) and a much lighter or darker green instead, so you don’t have to worry about an exact match.
So after building my own stick finally, I didn’t even think twice about taking apart my TE just so i can have the 24mm to play with… I also appreciate the thought that went into building it now that I’ve done my own…

Anyone know where I can find Hot Pink 26 AWG stranded hookup wire at an inexpensive price? I keep finding it in 500 ft rolls. I may just have to use black wiring and use hot pink wire sleeving.
Well, I found something after browsing on Deviantart for a century. Now to get money to pay for artwork/plexi combo.
Also debating whether or not I should just sell this Hori box I have sitting around. It would be a pain money wise to order a paewang pcb for it. So it might become dead weight to me eventually.
so any way to fix that glitch on TE’s where the roundhouse button dies? aside from unplugging the stick and plugging it back in. im just gonna have to buy a TE S huh?

Hi new to the forums but was wondering about this have looked a round a bit but not really found an answer its probably in a really obvious spot but ah well i guess.
I am getting a SE stick soon and will probably not like the square gate, this will be my first stick but so far i see myself probably liking the octagonal gate more, to replace the square gate with the octa gate is it as simple and popping the old gate off then popping the new one on or would you recommend getting a whole sanwa stick with the extra gate? i already chose i will end up doing sanwa buttons but not straight away.
Shipping might be a bit of a problem for me as i do live in Australia and we tend to be unlucky with that sort of thing, thanks for any help.
No Joystick would come with an Octagon Restrictor stock.
They come with Square.
But yes, you just pop off old, pop on new.
The Restrictor Gate on stock Mad Catz Joystick is on super tight.
So you will need assist with tool to remove; a screwdriver or something.
A real Joystick will have easier removal of the Restrictor Gate.

There is only one Octagonal Restrictor Gate you can use; Sanwa GT-Y.
Yeah, tell me about it. It was a bitch to remove the Madcatz square gate. I had to dig the nuts so that I can use the mounting plate of the Madcatz stick for my JLF because I bought mine without the mounting plate.

I just ran out of wire with my last dual mod. This phone wire caught my eye though. 26 awg 100ft x4. Do you guys think this would be suitable for modding? I’m thinking it would be plenty good enough, but I just want a second (or third) opinion.

It’d work, but if you’re going to go that route then just get 100ft of cat5 from Amazon. It’d be about the same price (maybe cheaper), and you’d get 8x 100ft instead.
Well, I’ve got a stick sitting here that I ran out of wire for. I’ll probably have to go with the phone cord from radioshack. You’re right though, it would be way cheaper online.

i wanna buy all the different Seimitsu parts i haven’t tried yet. i wanna mod an Hrap 3. I wanna mod a TE stick. I want a custom plexi from Arthong. I wanna dual mod my own stick. I wanna take the guts out of my broken VCR and make a fight stick out of it! And i’ll use the play, rewind, FF etc buttons as start, select, home…
Hmm, my restrictor basically just popped off once I squeezed the tabs.
And I’m with you 56K, I just started modding myself and its so much fun.
i’ll see how hard it is after i try out a square gate, this is going to be my first stick so…i might prefer square but i doubt it seeing as i like fireball characters

Those converters are generally unreliable. If you feel you are getting lagless conversion, you have to deal with the next issue of dropped inputs.
Well is there something similar that might be of higher quality?
It just seems like maybe a way cheaper alternative to modding.
