damnit. A full day+ worth of work down the tube trying to figure out why LINKING in some code, thatās never actually called, caused the board to crap the bed before even running the first bit of my program.
Hours and hours of using #defines to reduce the code in the segment being linked, closing in on the offending segment, and narrow the walls around the most innocuous pieces of code. Move the walls in a little, board pukes, little out, works fine. Code itself still in the walls? Stupid simple āifā statements and bit setting some variables.
What do I finally realize now, around midnite? It wasnāt the code, it was the presence of the code. Code got linked in, which pushed the earlier initialization routines the compiler puts in over a magic line in the sand of 0x5fff. Shouldnāt be a problem for the chip, but if the damned BOOTLOADER discards everything past that line for no damned good reason, then any code that jumps there falls of the end of the memory space and restarts the chip.
Grrrrrrrā¦Now I gotta figure out of the bootloader, or the firmware updating executable is the one with its head up its ass. Damnit.
(completely unrelated to existing products, so relax. This is something new and had to bitch about the dayās wasted work because of someone elseās code.)
Oh thank goodness, it was just the updating executable, no reflash of the bootloader needed. That would have been worse since I JUST closed this stick up.

If I were to cosplay as link then I would naturally be holding the sword and shield in the correct hands since Iām left handed. Would be funny if someone praised me about it too since I keep forgetting that link is left handed.

do you guys if any of the gdlk stick makers here are anime fans? Iām already dealing with a few of them like b15 and Ronin but they dont seem to know much about One Piece and Iām looking for a stick maker that will do a full custom Boa Hancock Stick for me. i can ask any of them to do it but it wont be the same as someone who watches the anime/ knows the character as it wont be true to the characterās nature.
so yeah if anyone can point me into a stick maker than can do that for me iād really appreciate it.
One Piece turned out beter than I thought it would in the beginning. Boa Hancock would be a good focus for the artwork on a stick. Better than using Luffy for sure lol.

Good that J&J SoCal Modding only there for one day.
So much work with people coming to ask for Service.
Money was not made back in parts though.
We had some No-shows.
Iām only up early because I was stress about this one Dual Mod I did.
I figured out right now that it was a faulty PS3 TE USB.
Put in a new one and now works.
So Iām going back to SCR at Noon to return to Customer.
