I personally think Shin Shoryuken makes ryu top tier.

Ryu is like the only char where all his SAs are good/viable but I think SA1 or SA3 take the cake tbh
SA1 is good against shotos but that’s about it.

Sometimes I wonder why I use SA3 with Ryu when I rarely do the super but instead use all meter for EX Hado and donkey kick.
But SA2 is the worst. I’d pick it only against like Dudley.

Anyway, all of his supers are viable, to be fair. I’ve always held Denjin to be his best because it makes his corner pressure better (granting him a new option) and the bar is short enough to charge, meaning you can still burn an EX meter for something, watch it connect, build some more meter, and you’re still in there. Shinkuu and Shin-Shoryuken aren’t bad by any means, however. Shinkuu provides stupid amounts of meter. It’s like playing a lesser version of SA3 Ken (you still get all the shoto hitconfirms but you’re honestly better off doing EX combos off of step kick, etc.). Shin-Shoryuken also allows for hitconfirms as well and it’s big damage (ggpo Gouki, Ibuki, and twins), but you gotta charge a larger bar. Still, it’s very viable, and a good read means lots of damage.
Again, it boils down to playstyle. I prefer Denjin but I can still use the other two fairly well.

I never said I didn’t appreciate your comments, I’m just simply giving my opinion, we all have one. You can do a greater amount of damage when using SA2 while facing characters like Chun Li, Dudley or Hugo. Iv’e always had trouble against those characters so that’s why I like it more.
