Every fighter. What matters is the skill of your opponent.
Kro, not true boy. VF5 hurts when you just start…samething with ST…shit hurts when you first start. Some started the hard way aka me…at Aladdin’s Castle, I got my ass beat constantly on T2. Until I learned.
I’d say Soul Calibur or Tekken. It always seemes anyone was open to giving it a few matches, even if they weren’t fighting game fans. 2D fighters on the other hand seems to scare people a bit.
I say SF III not because it’s an easy game, but because it’s pretty and almost anyone I have shown it to has been keen to try it out. They just pick it up and play it and have fun. (As long as I don’t go all out on them…)
I’m going to agree with these too. If you’ve played SF2 a bit, both of these games are quite easy to immediately do stuff in. Akatsuki Blitzkampf is another one.
But that wasn’t really the question of the thread was it. Best game I ever just randomly tried and liked? World Heroes Perfect.
Inuyasha Feudal Fighting. Shit has like three buttons, specials are done with one button. What smash would play like if it were an actual fighting game. Game is actual not bad; pretty fun. Has some funny ass juggles. No clue whatsover as to why my friend but the game but like I said, it was actually pretty fun.
Gundam Battle Assault 2 comes to mind as well as the first 3 Mortal Kombat games. All easy to learn and get pretty good at.
Breakers Revenge… Garou Mark of the Wolves…
So SC2 is easier to play than SF2 or KOF?? :looney: a newbie would probably more at home with a classic 2d fighter than an intricate 3d sword fighter.
History, common sense and the fucking truth say otherwise.
Yeah, having a party with a few friends, my friend literally said “I don’t know why you play Street Fighter when there is so many better fighters like Soul Caliber or DOA.”
He’s a pretty noob player, good guy… but god damn. SC is fun and all, but saying its better (especially SC4… SC2 was a really good game), yeah I don’t think so.
for me, i loved ‘pick-up-n-play’ CVS2
like, no characters banned… custom grooves galore… being terrible at everything CVS2
but thats how i got into guilty gear
(looking at a GGXX box) “geez this looks out of hand”
fire it up! ill pick the drug addict lookin guy (chipp)
mash-mash-mash-mash
6 hours later i realized i made the best 30 buck purchase ever
For me the fighting I accidentally discovered myself was Samurai Shodown 1, then I played 2, 3 and so on.
But in common sense the fightings that are easy to pick up & play (i.e. casual-oriented) are the MK series (its something like their gimmick to be easy to play & understand)
Psychic Force 2 and Bushido Blade!
Yeah, SC2 would definitely be my pick. It’s the game that got me into competetive FGs after all. Honorable mention to SF2WW, I remember playing that back when it first came out, so fun.
True, good fundamentals like low pokes and stuff will win within the first few matches.
I just recently started playing akatsuki blitzkampf, and I was impressed by how easy it was to pick up and play. I’ve NEVER played a charge character in a fighting game before and I learned all the execution sutff/tricks for the charge character for this game in a day(the hardest part for me was going from a ducking attack to a neutral attack without losing charge). There’s also no dragon motions so people don’t have to worry about those either.
I’d say any of the SC games or Tekken 3. Those games are button mash city.
If you are button mashing in SC then you will lose badly unless your opponent is as bad as you.
You can try Smash Brothers Brawl.
It is fun to play with my niece and all. Got bored of it after awhile though.
