May someone tell me why Bison - Cammy has 6 - 4 at eventhubs.
I see this in Cammys favor, but if Im wrong, could you tell me where is the advantage then?
I also think it’s in Cammy’s favour. If Cammy sits on a life lead Bison isn’t getting in and she can OS drill her normals and be in a relatively strong position. Bison on the other hand can hold a life lead, but he needs to put in a lot more work with a lot less damage output. It’s a lot trickier, you better not use EX PC incorrectly or you’re getting buried by U1. This is just my opinion anyway.
I suggest you learn the Cammy unblockable set-ups if you have not already and maximise damage and punishes at every opportunity.
eventhub have some strange stuff
some of match up is off I feel, Gen should be 5.5/4.5 in Gens favor…
anyone know how to deal with cody? that BINGO is one of thing I don’t understand, sometime cr.mk whiff on block, and sometime they push you too far that it looks unpunishable.
same with slide.
only damage now I can really said is punish when I play cody is Anti Air, I don’t know what is going on here, unless I get a throw or slide, so I can abuse his bad wake up and get lead, then I don’t really know this character, apparently if they gamble a lot (bingo, then EX bingo) they might get a lot of damage and stay away.
by one jump in, cody able take out 30% of your HP (DA FAQ? if jump in hits that is like 40%)
he can input OS if your st.RH whiff he can combo a knock down and jump in more for pressure.
few more character I been encounter (not player I think, I often don’t understand why they do those but if I just turtle they can’t really do anything but jump)
still, if Sagat goes EX Knee and get close to me and DP FADC Ultra I would said is not random is a guess, but Cody/Dudley/Makoto/Abel all doing stupid damage and have some OP normal, so how can deal with them effectively? (Those are character expose me everytime…)
Adon is more like 5/5 now I suppose?? because he have low health so is really risky for him to just keep whiffing those moves…?
Kisaku…with the Cody match up you have to keep,Cody honest so stay in footsie range…preferably in standing medium range. Remember he got a buff so he,has a crouching short that is 3 frames so watch out for that. When keeping sk pressure his counter will be his slide so what you do is keep him guessing and tag him with st medium this poke will be your key to,success while applying pressure and again use,the clock to make him distracted when you got the lead,to open him up

If you wanna beat cody you gotta hit 'em where it hurts: his inability to really mix you up. With cammy she has frame traps AND a great option that beats throws, not to mention she can get in easier cuz of divekicks. Cody on the other hand HAS TO rely on frame traps to get real damage. So one thing to look out for is EX PC through frame traps once you’ve identified them. If you can do that, cody is much more susceptible to reversal cr. lk through his pressure to either hit, or just put him in block and get you out of dangerous cody frametraps that do 40% and stun.
But yea, really wondering about cammy. I can’t seem to antiair her with st. hk cuz she can change trajectory/straight up beat me with divekicks. Then she gets in for free and i have to play the cammy guessing game constantly. Its liek a gief you can’t keep out. Any help?
Against Cammy the most effective AA is jumping against her with Fierce, dive kick is a 12-frame move ( Dive kick hit box too so no real air priority…) so you’ll beat it - however you need to be on point with your mind games to get a good enough read to know when she will actually jump.
On the ground your best AA is s.Fierce/cr.Fierce, S.Rh is predictable but good enough to punish lazy jump set ups - these options are weak in general and lose to EX dive kick.
Avoiding situations where you need to AA/block dive kick is the smart way - You need to zone her out hard and keep a good distance. Take the fight to her if you can.
What? Cody has the best frame traps in the game, and unlike other characters he can keep you in blockstrings 24/7 with slides and toward strong, and constantly make you afraid of getting counter hit into 300+dmg combos that deal ludicrous stun.
No i know, his frame traps are good. But when I say really mix you up, i mean in the way that some vortex characters really can. While cody is a great character for sure, all he has is frame traps which more often than not are not as powerful in this game as true ambiguous/unblockable setups that so many other chars (seth, cammy, adon, akuma, etc.) have.
Vortex > Mix up
And Cody has Ambiguous set ups, J.Fierce gross ups for example.
well Ken have same thing, jump in cross up fierce, that sht was mad especially they give you air tasu that always hit front, then that jump in cross up fierce will really make the kill since you will expecting cross up tasu in that close range, I was see excitedbeast doing that on someone…there is lot of Ken out there know how to do unblockable.
FOR just one jump in Cody hit, the combo does like 40% of your health, you think you can make him stop jump in? no way.
If it works, they either kill you or die trying, nuts.
Can u tell me about the unblockable setup? Is it just after f.throw?
Can someone list meaty psycho crusher setups? (crossup or just meaty) after slide knockdown… After throw… And after scissor knockdown.
No. Bison has unblockable setups on Cammy after both throws.
Slide knockdown - Vary timing to cross up or not
Throws - As above
Scissors KD. MP & HP Cross up, LP doesn’t. LP crusher followed by immediate HP crusher crosses up in opponent doesn’t quickrise.
LP Crusher KD, Immediately PC (Any strength) crosses. HP is the safest cos Bison has no hurt box on his lower legs during PC. Slightly delay PC to hit on same side.
Air to air Mp (Single hit), St HP xx (Reset to) LP Crusher crosses up.
I think that’s it for now. I’ll post some more if I think of them.
Thanks. I got the meaty pc to work.
Now, can u elaborate more on the unblockable setups ?
Back throw, walk a step and a half, J Mk.
Forward throw, walk a step and a half, J Hp.
Whichever way you block on either of those setups you will get hit the other side. The thread you want is this (excellent) thread by M16Ghost:
BUT all of unblockables after front throw (cammy, ibuki, guile…) can be punish by reversal (delay)
Only back throw unblockable are safe against all reversal
But after fron throw you can do hp crossup jump set up to punish her reversal
had a mean set against my friends very solid Akuma…used U1 instead of U2…worked out pretty good. But he told me to U2 is better…so Idk…what do you guys think?
I’ve been having trouble with Yun, it seems that once he gets in i am guaranteed to take a lot of damage. Also, I can’t seem to find any anti air that works against him. I’ve heard this matchups is pretty tough for bison, anyone have any tips?
U2 is good only because it helps to deny him air fireballs imo. The more you can to to limit his vortex options when you get knocked down the better
