I guess I’m just fighting too sick opponents, A and A+ people and sometimes even lower ranked players can easily punish you for poking or throwing with a DP. Makes it very very difficult to get wins with Bison.
That’s why I linked that Jago vs Daigo video because I can’t for the fucking life of me understand how Jago can be that carefree and Daigo so lacking on reactions.
your either fighting scubs who do random shoryukens wich hit you because you have a nice flowchart while playing footsies, or you are playing better players who are making fun of you by beating your flowchart with shoryuken. in any case if you aren’t fighting ken/oni or evil ryu doing shoryuken in footsies is stupid. its kinda ok for these 3 because their recovery on the lp version is very low so they do not get punished too hard for wiffing them.
your opponents aren’t reacting to your normals they are at best addapting to your bad habbits.
Andre is not careless, he plan well on his moves and if he get punish by Daigo he stop using it, he adopt amazingly fast so as Daigo.

I speak 2 language and ever since I gets habit to pay close attention when people speak English to me, I have headphone now too and it does improve my game.
some people get distracted easy but some people NEED to speak to win, it just preference I guess.
I think Andre build enough mind fk meter on Daigo, so everything he does looks safe and Daigo can’t took risk to punish it.
same thing Daigo do to most character back then, his fire ball will NO LONGER safe but people just don’t or resist too much to jump since they
eat way too many Umeshoryu, that is actually scary. How mind fk you will be at the state that all OTHER CHARACTER MOVES IS FEEL AND LOOKS SAFE to you? and you can’t do anything in that moment but block and take damage, you can’t even think because you were panic.
“HOW THIS BS BE FREE?” but it is, especially offline competition sometime things looks free or they plan it too well. and risk was too big to punish it…

st.mk is ok in this fight but it alone will not help much. Her st.mp eats a lot of Bison’s pokes alive, even better for her is that it is active for days and is difficult to whiff punish. Her walk speed is slow but her dash speed is not, all it takes is one dash forward to karakusa when you don’t expect it to really hurt yes you can stuff the dashes with a lot of different stuff, I like using cr.mk for that. She is kinda free on wakeup though as long as she doesn’t have meter.
I’m having major troubles against Ibuki. Simply put I can’t get in because of her pokes and Kunai’s not being EX-Psycho passable. Also Hammer kick ( forward medium ) has to be the best command normal in the game, goes over lows, throw invincible, even though frame data says its a 26 frame move I say thats a lie or else that move has invu frames. Also its +3 on block overhead, are you kidding me?
if Ibuki do the stupid wake up kunai sht, trust me, BLOCK FORWARD, is very very hard to get cross up kunai (you not honda, you are bison, with character have WIDE hurt box like Honda/Abel/Hakan etc)
I treat Ibuki like Seth when she have ultra 2, I let her come to me since the mix up is hard to get over with they will get careless and start repeat a lot of stuff,
if you lose first round, normally you get enough read to make the come back before they realize to switch different auto pilot plan.
and, most of time, you can treat kunai as extended footsie, so you can dash forward and KICK IT, if ibuki at corner jump back and throw, your KICK will hit off
kunai and KICK ibuki while she landing.
I disagree, smartly used Tsumuji has plenty of range as the hit box extends far further then what you expect. Granted it’s not a normal but its a 12 frame button which that moves forward so it’s very viable as a poke
As for zoning Ibuki yeah I guess you are right but she has the most damaging hit confirms in the game with guaranteed 50/50 gross ups afterwards. Makes her really good in the hit and run style.
My cr.short and cr.forward keep getting stuffed by Chun’s cr.short. The Chun reckons I’m just mistiming it or being too slow. Is that all it is? For example, when I manage to get Chun on knockdown, I go for a walk back cr.lk/cr.mk in scissors, it always seems to get stuffed by her mashing crouch tech. Really screwing up my game.
Sounds like timing to me. It’s really hard to be frame perfect with meaties and one frame is all it takes for it to fail. Same with safe jump setups that aren’t canned.
it is same problem with honda, when you about to get in while you on advantage (f.throw/b.throw most case), USE cr.lp if they mess you up before and bait out too.
with Honda and Chun, you really don’t have much tolerances to afford let them get away on this, ready for your match up play, and punish the things they think
they can get away with(in Chun case,dash back, Hazanshoe, EX SBX, Jump in, unsafe fireball), if you keep them on their toe for just while, they will start doing things more careless, and that is where Bison wins.
you have to play them on point and really punish them, if your punish is not hard or not enough threat, they gonna kill you before you realized, you have to be on point all the time (yes this honda bull crap too), if your link are good honda can’t really do ex head butt, and if you already cross him up, don’t forget auto correct.
When you play Bison against other player, you win not because Bison is good, is because other player suck.

Is really hardcore to play Bison, especially at high lv where is UMEsrk every corner,FADC gdlk read every contact sec, every wake up is a Option Select…
and when you don’t have answer for it, they just keep coming until you fight back or you lose.
Having a bit of an issue with the Seth and Claw matchups at the moment. I have zero experience against claw which might be partially to blame but general strategy tips in both matchups would be great.
I know you can’t out poke that bastard claw he has so my spacing and footsie game goes out the window against good claws. It’s like learning a whole new game against him.
Seth’s just 50/50 everytime it seems. Can he O/S anything against backdashing on wakeup/after tanden engine?
