I will get to it. Just been kinda bummed with other stuff and I keep forgetting. I do have my own views on certain things but an opinion is an opinion. This is an all general purpose information thread, I won’t impose anything. It’s just captain obvious shit like the above is dumb to put up.
>arrow beat SK clean
Sry for not adding enough information:
Cammy Arrow will beat SK most of time in close range, in s.MK range pretty much, and that is range you use SK most to chip the HP from, since cammy is very dangerous in that range, you need to think twice if just spam SK will earn you a easy win.
BTW arrow is easy punish, block and punish is best option, I hate CS follow arrow so FA is not my option unless is far arrow that I can sure to catch it with huge punish.
in training mode, most of time your SK against arrow in close will lose. that is what I found out.
since SF4/SSF4, against CPU cammy, their timing for arrow is so good that I quit spamming SK/EX SK.
same problem with Abel, CPU roll distance and timing is in crazy precision that make me piss off so much time…
so if cammy don’t do c.HK in defense string while you apply SK pressure, arrow will be their choice, I can’t tell how many time I get hit, but some good cammy will do lot cancel into arrow and bait any other move to punish with spike, sometime if SK is too predictable, punished with ARROW is very common.
that is very broad match up we are talk about here, there is cammy don’t arrow at all, and crazy foot sweep happy shoto that can’t handle cross over. many thing happen, and I personally like to said it is “that” possibility there doesn’t meant it is happen most of time. It is there, and sometime you will see it. I don’t know how common people will use those move, Just give little hint so hope we don’t get hit with unknown possibility.
Flash kick beat SK clean too, try it if you like, in training mode, unless blocked, can’t beat the Flash Kick if pull it same time.
lot of move against each other, one of them lose but some move trade, best bison move trade most of time is when I use EX HS, it trade with SRK, sometime even J.HK too late, is pretty good trade since damage is in bison side most of time, but there is many move out there is not in bison side when they pull move faster than you, such as flash kick or foot sweep, only option is FA cancel if you can see it or tap twice to fall back or just block and punish.
again, sorry for my scrubness.
Hey guys, just stopping in from the Abel forums to give you some advice on the match up: Press buttons.
Yeah, I’m salty, u mad?
Guile is ruining my life.
Infinite patience. Aim for timeout, if necessary. I visualize evading 40-50 booms.
Sometimes I pretend it’s Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 for the NES.
Word. Just lame them out. It’s one of those rite of passages as a Bison player to play patient against at least a handful of characters.
Holy SHIT going up against Ken sucks. I just played with Dr Chaos for a bit and his Ken straight bent me over…his standing strong stuffs EVERYTHING we do
^even EX SK?
If he whiffs st.strong, counter poke immediately with st.forward. It’s impossible to throw out shoto st.strong in reaction to a scissors kick, so it’s mostly prediction and anticipation.
Then again, Dr.Chaos is a whole different level of comp so this tidbit won’t be winning you any matches against him!
Yeah I noticed Dr. Chaos liked to use standing strong vs Min at Road to Evo 2. You can watch the match here:

Then again, you were playing Dr. Chaos.
Strong footsies
Regarding the Chun match-up.
A chun I play against uses her down/forward hard kick on my wake-up a lot. If I go to EX PC it I find it very inconsistent and generally a waste of EX meter since it occasionally autocorrects but a lot of the time she ends up kicking the tail of it and knocking me out of it.
so first question - EX DR a better escape tool against this?
secondly - I know NMB would catch Chuns who tried this tactic since it autocorrected pretty easily. Can Psycho Punisher do the same?
Thanks.
Yeah, it would trade if I remember correctly.
Most of the time, im outside of st. mk range. Also, thats pretty damn hard to react to.
His Ken is on a whole other level… I can at least do respectable against his Adon but once he switches to Ken its over.
EDIT: like damn, frame traps wouldnt even work on him since he wouldnt press buttons during strings.

anyone notice this? is this a common way to avoid sagat’s dp reversal? it seems to me like if any other kind of dp was used, it would have hit andre, so this setup looks crazy risky unless you know they only use that one kind of reversal?
I believe this is only possible due to the general nerfing of invincibility for DPs.
Does the hit box even reach? That might not work against MP or HP TU. That looked like a LP TU.
Ummmm that worked since vanilla its just that it was not worth half my life and no if timed correctly every tiger uppercut whiffs except MP in certain instances but thats player knowledge and i dont know any sagat player including sanford that knows this.
Um I thought you were safe after lk SK always against gief as long as you don’t follow up with anything. Wrong I just played a Gief that was SPDing me off of safe SKs even though I was just trying to backup or jump back after. I had to space the SKs so only the second hit would hit or he would SPD me. And I wasn’t in the corner(he was lol)
Might seem slightly off topic, but am i the only one getting bad lag lately? I can’t land any combos and 90% of my games are just laggy.
Didn’t we already talk to you about this? lk sk is 100% completely safe against gief on block. I don’t believe “backing up” after it is useful since SPD’s range is so damn big but jumping out should work. What is SPD? 5 frames? Pre-jump animation is 4 frames? That leaves you one frame to jump out?
