First of all I understand where cmutt’s coming from because he helps Ts out from the kindness of his heart with equip anything we need and he didn’t even open SG up that friday which I know ppl would have rather been at SG playing capcom games than at Pz watching fist and slash until 8 o’clock in the morning, yeah you could say well I pay him for the cabs so no big deal right…wrong because he puts alot of shit on the line by renting a truck transporting the cabs and helping steup etc… If he really wanted to be a dick about (or if he was me) he would just say well if you want to borrow my shit you have to find your own transportation, load the shit yourself and tell you how much you have to pay if you fuck the shit up. Just out of curiousity did anyone offer to help cmutt pay for the broken monitor, I doubt it, shit he shouldn’t have to pay for it , it wasn’t broken before hand. Then niggas want to look stupid when cmutt says his shits fucked up :confused:. But it’s cool cmutt I understand.

But shit like that could have been easily avoided if you didn’t have like 2 or 3 bitches who complain cause they can’t play on console other than that Ts6 Ok at best not great I think Ts5 was better.

Oh yeah and as far the pools go just save your breath it wont change, ppl running the tourny will always give themselves easy pools, favortism is the key.

Don’t talk about issues and business you are completely ignorant about. Last I recall, my business was with Cmutt about the cabinets. I don’t remember hearing that I was doing business with Gene Flowers. I mean I may be mistaken, were you paying the bills for Stargate? Were you paying the bills for the cabinets? Texas Showdown 6 expenses? Where in the fuck do you get off telling anybody how they should or should not do any kind of business?! This is for anybody else that for some reason or another happened across BUSINESS information regarding Texas Showdown Championships dealings with Stargate; butt out of it! Cmutt helped me out with the truck, that much is apparently known by everybody for some reason. If anything this was a matter between me and Cmutt, financial responsibility was taken care of for the rental of the cabinets and the truck. Compensation was offered for the cabinet. All of that info is not meant to be posted all over a DAMN PUBLIC BOARD! Are you part of TS6’s staff?! See this shit just pisses me off, if you guys were so righteous and wanting to help Cmutt, where are you guys when he’s actually open to fucking begin with!? Did you fuckers pitch in for the $60 in buttons I shelled out for prior to paying for renting the cabinets? People seem to want to get into our business when they have nothing to do with it on the business end.

Thats all I have to say on this matter. All you fuckers are making me wonder why in the living fuck I’m doing this shit!

I am just curious, ST, A3, XmvsSF. Those are Street fighter turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and X-men vs Street fighter, right?

Didn’t some of those come out for Playstation, or am I confused :confused: ?
Because wouldn’t that mean that I could legally have a copy of the game for back up purposes. For instance owning XmvsSF for Playstation, but having it backed up on MAME for personal use, so as to not damage the original. That is not illegal as far as I know. So long as I have the original one.

I really doubt your logic works well. It would work if you had the original arcade board, meaning you have a legal copy of the arcade version, but you’d technically only be able to make copies of the PSX version of Xmen vs Street Fighter, because it’s not the very exact same game (loading, system limitations that affect the system, etc.)

The main thing is that Texas Showdown is supposed to be a more legit event, and anything making it slightly-shady would be bad for the overall image, so they’re trying to avoid any potential problems. Emulation is not even an option for what they’re trying to do.

as for info. on a “public forum”, well that’s what it’s for… for people to voice opinions, debate, hash things out, whatever. as long as it’s not “personal” matters between people, then i don’t have a problem with it.

Ranma: you see, this is exactly what scrubtana and i were saying the other day at the restaurant bro. you are the main man in charge of TS’s, everything that transpires is a direct reflection on you and your efforts… so you have to expect that the criticism is going to fall on your shoulders. i know, you don’t have a problem with that, and you’ve stated that point already, but people are still going to voice opinions, criticize, debate, challenge, and/or ridicule your decisions and whatnot… that just comes with the territory.

anyway, getting pissed off is not the way to handle it. if anything, it gives people the wrong impression. (and you know what i mean) besides, you’ve been doing this for so many years now, so you already know the routine.

just concentrate on doing what’s best for your TS’s. imho, that means even listening to opinions and other shit that you don’t want to hear. you don’t have to agree or give in to ANYONE, but it behooves you to hear everything out.

again, i know you hate hearing all of this, especially from “cmutt- the dead-horse beater king”, but hey, you know me… i’m all about laying everything out on the table and speaking my mind. if i criticize you… it’s only because you’re the man in charge, and you’re the person it has to go to.

That right there is why I’m pissed. I feel like I have a very legitimate reason to be pissed about it. I really don’t want people knowing about finances, business transactions, etc. involving Tx Showdown unless they are actually involved with it. I’m upset because I feel like this information should have been in house only. That SHOULD have been common sense. This is absolutely different from when we had our conversation in the restaurant. We were actually INVOLVED in the transaction. Gene has no business in it. Critism I get almost every tournament, that I don’t care about. Information that should not have gotten to his ears did, that is what I’m pissed off at, even more so he then opened his big mouth and spouted it out on here. There are no real grounds to even defend his post Cmutt, theres no point. What you and me discussed, I considered it confidential between us in that matter. That in a way makes it personal for me, and should never have been mentioned to Gene, nor posted on here.

DO NOT DISCUSS ANY BUSINESS DEALINGS OR TRANSACTIONS INVOLVING TEXAS SHOWDOWN UNLESS YOU HAVE NO CONSENT TO DO SO!

Hope you’re not talking about me. If you woulda have bothered to see how i made the brakets i seeded 16 ppl. seperated them from each other 2 per pool and no same state seed in a pool. After i did that i went down the list and started placing names in pool so the way your name was on the paper was how i went down the list and placed in pools. So this is an example of 3 pools. here’s the list of players me, choi, you, andres, Legendary goukou, ricky, nestor, smoothcat, cole, combofiend, rudy, ron-o, ricardo, manuel. top seeds are me, choi, nestor, cole, combo, and smooth. pools go like this. pool 1 me and choi. pool 2 nestor and cole. pool 3 combo and smooth. names left go in just as they where wrote trying to seprested same area players. pool 1 is me, choi, you. pool 2 is nestor, cole, andres. pool 3 is combo, nestor, LG. Now in pool one will be me, choi, you and ricky would be next but since same area i’ll put him in pool 3 and but oh shit everyone else left is from houston so then it’s bound to have 2 top playes and maybe another ok player and some pools have 1 scrub and some have nothing but ok players. I had a decent pool myself and i bearly qualified. I had lost once and i was almost beaten by 2 other players. So i hope you weren’t talkin about my pool system. It’s not my fault i seeded andres and you came in as a random add in. If you can think of a better way to do this please fill me in on your incredible knowledge.

First of all, I did not mention any names. The mere fact that you replied to my post casts suspicion upon yourself :shake: . Second, the fact that you went about and tried to explain how you did it incriminates you even further. Third, your post speaks for itself. Just so you know, CvS2 was not the only tourney I entered. I entered 3s, MvC2 and CvS2. So why would you think I was talking about you. I did bother to look at how you did the seating; it was very evenly spread out :rolleyes: : good job. Probably because I should have been seeded first and Andrés should have been the random add-in. I did qualify last year so that should have guaranteed me being seeded first, or have the rules changed? Do you have something against me? :sad:

I agree with Ranma. If you are not involved with all the work that happens behind the scenes in organizing and running Texas Showdown, you have NO right to come in here and mouth-off.

Everyone on the Texas Showdown staff knows what happened this year and why things got out of hand. If Ranma wants your opinion, hell ask for it. As things stand right now, Im sure Ranma has an idea of how he wants thing to go next year.

Until you really understand what a pain-in-the-ass it is to organize and run Texas Showdown, SHUT THE FUCK UP!

and yeah… anybody that complains about pools… “who the fuck are you”. if you haven’t won shit in recent tourneys, chances are that you’ll have to upset SOMEBODY (or 2 somebodies, in mvc2’s case, since there were a lot of top players) in your pool.
