as far as i can tell these couple of lines seem to be the basis for all the commotion going on right now. (from what i’ve been told)
these comments from gene are the only 2 in his post that refer to “business” between ranma and myself. so let’s examine them:
how did gene know the cabinets are rented? it’s not like that is some big secret, hell, alot of people probably know that. anyone that hangs around within the circle knows that, and especially people who are staff, previous staff, or are friends with staff. which is practically everyone.
even though this is a “business” matter in terms of obtaining the cabs, i think gene’s statement and criticism really refer to how, where, and when the cabinets were made available for the tourney, because he’s talking about practice time. he just didn’t say it that way.
the 2nd part, about the broken monitor… sounds like gene is posing a question there 1st, then making a personal comment of his opinion about it.
as for the broken monitor part, well he was there when it was discovered to be broken, and i think he was even sent to report it to the mvc2 staff. so that covers how he knows about it. and for that matter, everyone could see that the cabinet wasn’t working, didn’t take a genious to figure that out.
as for the personal comments… well that sounds like he was either fishing for an answer, or already knew the answer and was being sarcastic… no way to tell for sure. simple solution… just ask gene what he meant by it, if it’s that big a deal. it’s possible he was just stating his opinion that he figures no one offered to compensate for the damages.
should gene have brought that up here on the forum? … maybe not, or perhaps he could have made his point a little better.
anyway, whatever you make of it all… this getting out of line, and out of hand BS is childish. talk it out, deal with it, and squash it.
Honestly, I still don’t think people are understanding the point I was trying to make, including you Cmutt. But oh well, I give up and will not discuss it anymore.
Texas Showdown 7 details are currently being discussed and handled by official staff, they know who they are. This note is for the staff, any information discussed pertaining the tournament is to be kept off the forums, period.
This post just adds to it. The point is to just not talk about it at all, which seems to have eluded you. As Ranma said, it’s his business, end of story.

Just want to give a big PROPS to Chris and the rest of the TS6 staff for job well done. Ya I know Im all fucking late but whatever… Also want to say that I wished I could of helped yall more w/ everything ( setup, transportation, registration, etc; ) but ya know how my schedule is during the week. Ah well, always next year.
