"Beg For Your Life You Inferior Race" Super Skrull thread 2.0

simple corner combo with almost 700K damage I’ve been using.

c.M, c.H, S, j.M, j.H, j.S, air dash, Down+H, S, j.M, j.M, j.H xx Superova

builds more meter than basic tenderizer combo and more damage. in the first set you can use a second j.H but it’s tricky because it puts you closer to the ground, putting you too low to get off the air dash - down+h

Seeing how it don’t have a video thread an practically no match vids or not much, how do u guys approach with super skrull, what are his good air normals good ground normals, i know his wavedash is good but what moves/normals do we apply them with thx…

Btw get ride of all those useless threads and make a combo/vid/good assist thread, i will help out bec i’m going to keep Skrull on my team…

i really like the invasion bounce, but i fear its nut worth it over the standart combo:( (+ its a little hard for meXD)

instead of going into stone smite, you can end the combo in the air on the relaunch with j.M, j.M, j,H xx Supernova. it’s only slightly less damaging but much easier to execute.

the problem I am having is connecting the dash->S after his downwards dash. it seems so random to me, half the time the S whiffs and I have no idea why.

another thing, after a mid-screen fatal buster you can dash in, jump, down+H into relaunch. fatal buster bounces you off the wall, not the ground

actually you can tag on a metoer smash and then an inferno and it will do slightly more:3

also to your proble,: i allways start the dash command slightly before skrull hits the ground again, this way he starts running immideately when he touches the ground. maybe that works for you, too.

Another easy corner combo:
cr.BCS, sj.BBCS, s.chargeC, j.chargeS, s.S, sj.BC Inferno = 721,500

If you’re outside of the corner, you can replace j.chargeS with air dash -> piledriver -> loop.

Charge attacks look so sick. I’m definitely integrating them into all my combos.

Hey guys, found an interesting synergy for Skrull with Spencer. One of Skrull’s best offensive tactics (discovered thus far, at least) has been to do ground dash xx low jump xx air dash xx j.d+C. It’s a good tactic that covers lots of ground and opens lots of combo possibilities for him. It also leaves him fairly vulnerable to certain anti-air tactics, and can be hard to time into a decent re-launch in the middle of a tense battle (the launcher whiffs if you’re not spot-on). That’s where Spencer comes in.

Since the tactic mentioned above involves only normals, no super jumps or specials, you can call an assist at any point in the whole sequence (which in itself presence tons of mix-up potential with various assists that I will be exploring in the near future). With Spencer, specifically, it does something interesting. Spencer’s diagonal hook-shot assist reels the opponent in in a standing position but with enough frame disadvantage to continue a combo off of it if you’re quick, and it hits people knocked away by Skrull’s j.d+C perfectly, meaning that if you call Spencer just as you rush in with Skrull, and your j.d+C hits, the hook-shot will also hit, and reel then back in to within range of a single wave dash into launcher that all combos cleanly. Moreover, they anti-air you successfully, Spencer should STILL reel them in (provided he’s not hit by the anti-air), interrupting their counter-attack.

He can also reel them in off Stone Smite as someone else mentioned, but I’ve found that to be more situational thus far.

Anyway, food for thought.

Edit: Also, if you know your distancing, Death Penalty DHCs cleanly off of a successful Bionic Lancer (Falcon Punch) hyper.

Yea Both of them are pretty much my go to team i’ll be running with for a long time to come, I was more going towards the horizontal assist grapple… Will try ur suggestion as well…

are the combos in the OP bnbs skrull players are using? What are the bnbs mainers should be getting down?

I posted some stuff in the Wiki: BnBs, resets, Elastic Slam setups, and whatnot. I apologize if it’s not very good; my second time ever posting anything in the Wiki. But yeah, it should be enough to get you started.

EDIT: And yes, I’d definitely recommend the OP Skrull combos as well.

Anyone try to dash in, and do some attacks (L,M, etc…) that are being blocked then quickly dash back, and do elastic slam?

Also, anyone find a way to use c.H charge?

Thanks for the point in direction

OK can someone tell me how do u connect the charge :h: after a bnb… They alway get up be4 its done…

Depends on the combo and how much hit stun deterioration has taken place. Generally, if it’s like: L,M,c.H,S,j.M,j.M,j.H.j,S, you’ll just input the air combo slower than you usually would. This gets you closer to the ground, where you’ll have enough time to combo into the Stone Smite.

You basically have to delay your air combo. By that, I don’t mean do the combo immediately after you super jump after the launch. Wait for a split second, and then do the combo. A good way to gauge on whether or not you have enough time to do the charge H is if Skrull is below the opponent(at their lower-torso/feet) as he’s doing the air combo. The timing is tricky, but just delay the air combo slightly and charge the H immediately after you land. Timing on that is also tricky, but just practice and you’ll get it in no time.

Again, just delay the air combo slightly after you do the launch. Timing is a bit tricky, but keep at it.

you should add kara-elastic slam somewhere. the range is incredible and catches people off guard.

and one minor omission on the 4th BnB combo, after the skrull smash you need to dash before launching.

I’ve gotten into the habit of spacing out each attack a bit longer than what’s needed just because more often than not, the other character seems to be out of range for all the hits and will reset in the air. Also it helps for landing charge H after the air S.

is that stand H canceled to slam? or he probably could with FFF H also.

yep. dash->H->QCB+M works from literally full screen.

I might record some of my favorite resets with Skrull. Some are mentioned in the wiki already, but I still like them…

UPDATE: Alright, yup. Here they are!
