"Becoming the strongest woman in the world!" Chun-li Match-up Thread

thank you all for advice.
btw 4neqs I’m sure gonna watch your chun mirrors video.

Kalvin-Bahn Chun mirrors was an awesome watch too. I recommend it.

The first one to push the other into the corner wins the match.

Why is that? Is there no chance for the cornered Chun to get out?

Pretty much, Chun is terrible at getting out of the corner, while she is also really good at keeping people in the corner.
The only way for Chun to get out is to land a random sweep, and even then she will have to perform a punishable jump to get out most likely.

What to do with Bison’s j.hp? It’s disaster. I found df+lk works, but spacing is too strict. It is always good to jump and throw him but you have to predict it in the most situations/

st.mk

It seems like it works very bad(

bison´s j.hp is a very hard move to AA, pretty much like blanka´s j.hk, but from experience i can tell you that st.mk is a very good AA against those two, you need to learn the spacing and the timing tho

If the bison spaces and times his jump in correctly Chun can’t AA his jump fierce and can only trade at the very best… Bison is a pain, well most aren’t but I have a special issue with him cos of someone I know :frowning:

Chun can anti-air both Dictator and Blanka by meeting them with j.hp

Yeah that’s Air to Air and not ground to air and also Bisons j.mp beats Chun’s hp in the air, also how many Bisons are going to jump in when Chun has time to jump and meet him in the air? No good ones that’s for sure… He doesn’t need to take that risk in the match up, he’s better of playing footsies with her to close the distance then use GOOD scissor and frame trap pressure which again I have seen literally no Bison’s do…

Like I said Bison himself in general is a fight that is generally at worst even but I have issues with a specific Bison…

then dont use st.mk… damn this game is dumb

Bison is an asshole.

That is all.

^And how!

Let’s just say I don’t agree with the overall character design of Bison

i do like bipson`s design, much more solid than other versions (barring cvs2)

The only reason for Dictator to be jumping against Chun is her fireball, and the only way for him to get punishment from a jump is by guessing it. If he’s jumping reactively then he’s giving Chun enough time to dash under, focus or jumpback hk to deal with him. So if Dictator has to be guessing jumps to get any payoff from then, then that also opens up that Chun can anti air him by jumping since she won’t always have a fireball out when he is jumping.

And saying that good players don’t jump is a lie, the difference is that good players jump smarter.

This!!!

So I am not really sure why you quoted me to basically agree with me but using different words??? Seen as I didn’t say good players don’t jump I said they don’t jump at bad times. So I am sorry I am just confused as to if you are agreeing or not. As you seem to have misquoted me to make some sort of point I’ll assume you’re attempting to say I am wrong, whatever man maybe you are agreeing with him its pretty hard to tell.

I’m saying that even good players will occacionally jump at bad times because they commited to a bad read, and as long as Chun jumps after Dictator her j.hp will beat his j.mp. And because Chun should be jumping on reaction to his jump, then naturally she will be below him. Which is why I mentioned j.hp as an anti-air to begin with.

For dictator to get some kind of punishment on Chun’s fireball he has to take risks with his jumps, because like I said Chun has answers to him jumping on reaction.
