Mostly agree but Blanka 7-3? I’d say 6-4 but hey whatever seems about right and maybe Yun at 6.5 - 3.5… God I hate that guy
Blanka 7-3 ? What Blanka have to beat Chun so easily ? Nothing, it’s more easy in AE with the Rolling nerf, maybe slightly in chun’s favor now.
But Blanka’ U2 make problem for Chun in her zoning.
It’s a footsies war.
Yeah, the fact that Lp blanka ball is safe unless you have Ultra,Fireballs dont work at mid range,Hazanshu wont get you good damage since you cant go jab~forward because of push back, and AA’ing him isnt an easy task without a trade or he beats you. Very frustrating match. Gets a little better when she gets Ultra. Lately ive been picking bison vs. blanka.lol
I play a lot a great Chun, i know quite well this match up.
What Blanka have against Chun and what he sould do : If Chun don’t have meter, Blanka can jump on her very much, because of this speed jump and the jumping HK have a weird angle that makes Blanka harder to anti-air for Chun, and also, his cross up MK gives for her hard times.
Personally, my goal in this match up is to have a KD, Chun don’t have a great defense and not a good stamina, i wait patiently for a mistake of my opponent (kikoken at wrong distance for example), the slide is a nice tool but it’s not safe, so i need to be very careful with that.
Chun down, i make my wake up game (electricity, throws and some mix ups) and if she have meter, i safe jump her a lot.
If i have the life lead, i turtle a lot, and i make my meter with elec to make impatient the Chun.
Ultra 1 or 2 depend of the player chun’s style, if she very play turtle, i choose U2, U1 if it’s the contrary.
Honestly, for a Blanka player, i don’t really enjoy this match up, and i think it’s a 5-5 or maybe a little for Chun’s favor because, she have some greats normals, a lot better than Blanka, for example her sweep beat everything in normals of Blanka, i can’t really poke her.
Also, Chun can punish a lot of thing in Blanka, even ON HIT… with her super so godlike, her ultra.
If the Chun have a great defense, don’t make mistakes and is very patient, it’s very hard for Blanka IMO.
I agree with the footsie part, but it wont ever be close to her favor until she can use plasma which can be hit with a slide on reaction. The rolling nerf didnt mess with the lp version, which is the problem. I respect others opinions though. I love seeing what other people think.
Chun can’t really attack Blanka, the match up is hard for her if Blanka have the life lead and if he turtle, because the only thing she can do to attack Blanka is Azanshu : which can be beaten on reaction, by a lot a things by Blanka : U1/U2, Upball Ex or normal, HK etc… She can’t jump on him, he have great AA.
In this match up, i think it’s the player who have the better footsies who win, and i don’t use a lot the LP Ball for cheap damages, it’s random, i can eat a poke in or worse, a Ex SBK.
I only use the Ex Ball for Kikoken on reaction.
Everything that you stated and I stated is what makes it a terrible match for her. Lp blanka ball is your best friend in blockstrings unless I have ex.
I don’t know seriously if it’s so terrible for her.
The most frustrating part for a Blanka player is when Chun have her Super, he can’t use a lot of moves : Crouch HP, Stand HP, Stand HK, Sweep, Crouch MP etc… and need to play with a game much more limited.
However, Chun have a big hitbox and a lot of characters specific combos with elec work on her.
Super does limit him but blanka limits her the whole fight. The match up has been 6/4 since vanilla. My opinion is that is 7/3. Fact is that he does beat her, regardless of how bad.
The Blanka match IS hard for Chun, not sure if TheMeth90 now agrees as he started off asking why its bad then went on to point out all the things that make it bad lol…
I put it at 6-4 as stated above as its very hard but you can win it by playing it the right way, whereas Bison Vs Guile even if Bison plays it the right way the chances of a win are really pretty small and that is a 7-3 match up so as Chun Vs Blanka isn’t THAT bad its just another one of her ever grow list of 6-4’s 
You know very well the match up ? I mean, you play with a decent Blanka for a while ? many different opinions for this match up in fact.

Jab check the ball and it limits his game greatly. Along with what else you can do to fight back, I don’t find it to be unfavorable at all really.
No way is this match 7-3 to blanka. Its in chuns favour imo. I see it as 6-4 chun.
LOL I know you use both to a good standard but its 6-4 Blanka… Always as been always will be mate

I just dont see how its in blankas favour, really. How is it? Chun can turtle him out and theres nothing he can do.
Not to be harsh ,but the match up is bad for the Chun Li at the highest level of play. Even Lower level Blanka’s can give her a slight run for her money. 7-3 was just my though. 6-4 is the matchup on paper. Maybe there is something that the Blanka isnt doing that he’s suppose to be doing. Anyways though, I wrote the Bison Guide.Enjoy

Look, Bush is not a bad Blanka, even he make mistakes in this match, he don’t win easily honestly…
