Become the Jaguar Assassin: Adon's AE match up and strategies thread

Does anyone else get raped by Vega? I’ve read through the matchup stuff already posted but I swear his normals and his air throw destroy me…my best bet is just to block the entire match and try to punish wall dives…maybe I just need to be more patient but I have such a hard time getting in and getting a knockdown. I usually use U2 for this matchup, but is there anything that can be punished with U1? Thanks

I dont like this match up, but I dont have much experience in it anyway.
I find trying to counter poke with cr.mk and then doing a mk.jk follow up helps me loads.
Knockdowns is what you need, just remember if he jumps thats a free knockdown. Vegas jump-ins seem crap and I never have issues AA’ing them.
I believe that weird kick where he flicks his leg up in the air is no longer safe, so if a Vega use that to get in you should be able to punish it I believe, though I could be wrong.
hk.jk works wonders against his bloody slide and will beat most of what Vegas usually throw out against me.
I dont tend to nj much when vega is around as I always seem to get caught out.

Maybe u1 punishes that stupid flip escape thing he has?

It’s almost useless to try to poke against him, it’s 4 frames mp is just too good, it’s seems to have the same range as Adon roundhouse and the worst thing when you try to poke is to eat a cosmic heel ant the scarlet terror following which hurts too much.

Cosmic heel is a pain in the ass, against this, rj but not really easy to do in reaction, forget the ultra II wich is too slow, saving, and neutral jump roundhouse but don’t abuse it otherwise you will be air throw.
The second problem is his damn kara throw, couple with his first walk speed, he has one of the best throw game.

I found Vega difficult to AA even with the rj hk, his jump hp is just weird to AA.

Against his flying barcelona, you can do neutral jump hp, jump back mp or hp, close hk (not very good), rj and jt ex, if you decide to jump to counter this, never do the same thing like that the timing for an izuna drop will be different.
Jaguar revolver can punish this move if it whiffs.

His two flips aren’t safes, i guess ultra I can punish this too but the timing must be tight, otherwise dash foward cr jab rj.

Instant overhead neutral jump mk works against him and it very usefull, you must press him to have a chance to win, he has just 900 stun and can be easily stun.

To win you must push him in the corner, if he wall dive to escape, rj him, if he try to escape with flying barcelona, try what I said before, he has almost no answer against the two in one, scarlet terror isn’t the best AA in the game and vary between jk hk and mk.
When he’s knockdown, mixup and use the jump neutral mk.
Don’t jump too much, his air trhow is the second in the game I think.
Don’t be hit by his cosmic hell, it’s less safe in AE, against his kara throw if you fell it, you can rj it, but can be reasky.

I don’t really think jaguar revolver is really usefull.

To me this match-up is even, Vega can keep away Adon relatively easily and the cosmic heel hurts nastily and when Adon is close he can really press him and jaguar kick can be good against him.

u1 can punish all of his wall dives on block.

EX and hard jagga tooth can punish all of his full screen get away wall dive attempts, also it can prevent you from getting mixed up if he goes for the ambiguous cross up
