yeah that’s exactly it. these changing thread titles are stupid.
If I hear one more person say this looks like Devil May Cry, when the head of Devil May Cry is also the creator of Bayonetta…
Im gonna rip my fucking gonads out.
Are you really expecting this man to not use what worked in DMC and expound upon it exponentially? Do people bitch this much when FPS and WW2 games come out? Its like this game cant even get its own identity just because its in the same genre as DMC, as if it would play completely different.
Yeah, the uneducated comparisons get old quick. Like DMC style games are all of a sudden too many.
dudeeee this game looks sick.
I still don’t see the resemblence. Palin has a man jaw, no mole and looks old Bayonetta has a more narrow chin and much softer skin. THe only thing they have in common are glasses and up do’s.
I dunno i only see a slight passing resemblance. Like if I passed Palin at the grocery store and had to take a momentary second look and then “God what was I thinking?”
Sarah Palin is ugly. Being the best looking woman on capital hill doesnt say much.
People need to stop giving her so much, shes not even a milf. Bitch got a nice body but shes NOT a bad bitch for 40. Halle Berry…Darryl Hanna…Melinda Williams…Naomi Campbell…Eva Longoria…those are bad bitches pushing 40 or over.
I love this thread’s titles :D.
I’m probably not going to pick this up until the price drops, but I have my eye on it.
Now lets be realistic about this…what are the chances of a game being less than 60 dollars? You must be talking about used, and even then its gonna be 50 and some change.
Greatest Hits titles are like 2-3 years old.
I see games around the $25-30 range all the time. Especially action games out of their prime.
It’s perfectly reasonable to wait for a price drop, especially if the game looks interesting but doesn’t exactly have you hyped.
You see crappy games and greatest hits at 30 bucks. Youre not going to find anything in the past year and a half for anything under 50 bucks unless it was a sports title or incredibly crappy to begin with. Or old.
Good games that are 30 or less, but very old
-Virtual Fighter 5
-Heavenly Sword
-Devil May Cry 4
-Soul Calibur 4
-Ninja Gaiden
-Folklore
Shitty games that are 30 or less and relatively new
-Afro Samurai
-Prince of Persia 4
Killzone 2…Little Big Planet…Resident Evil 5…those game are still 50 bucks…45+ at the cheapest.
Moral of the story here, is the good games are going to be a WHILE before you see a price cut. Bayonetta is going to be a good game, you might as well get it new. In all honestly.
Dude Prince of Persia was fucking awesome.
Good game, bad game, that’s all still up in the air. If I end up waiting a long time for that price drop, all that means is that Bayonetta didn’t give me enough reason to buy it sooner. This doesn’t particularly bother me.
But I am interested enough to want to hear opinions when it drops. And it may even change my view on this.
Bayonetta reminds me of Brooke Banner with darker hair and glasses.
Don’t care when it’s coming out or how much it costs, I’m buying this when it drops.
To me, Bayonetta has more in common in with the likes of a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure character, such that she really doesn’t have much in the way of a “real world comparison” any way. Certainly not Palin.
I mean, check out Bayo’s proportions and overall design. She’d fit fine in a crazy world like Jojo’s. She even has the perchance to strike a sexy/cool/vogue-ish pose every once in a while!
Yeah exactly. Like the Palin stuff seems almost out of left field to me. One broad puts up an up do and glasses and suddenly they look exactly like someone else with the same hair do? Really now? Bayonettas arms and legs are so long and slender she really doesn’t fit the proportions of…well…anyone. Even her face is long and slender. She just screams sexy curves and sexy angles. Palin…not so much.
excuse me, sir, watch how you speak about my woman.
Naw dude my Sexy arms and legs.
-Cant die
-crap backtracking
- no more than 2 enemies on screen at a time
At best it was a visual masterpiece with ambient music and excellent art direction, but the actual gameplay was pretty stale.
Meh dieing was damn near pointless in the other games as it just started you off on the last ledge anyway. All this really did was save time loading. I enjoyed the back tracking. I loved the whole world in fact. Very vibrant and real and by hitting the different locals in different orders it changed the obstacles you faced. Very nice. The Enemies on screen thing is kind of disappointing but the fluid cinimatic combat was fun (it’s no DMC/NG but ti shouldn’t be anyway) and was back to being a duel like it was in the OG POPs on PC an shit. Games a platformer so the combat should be something that comes second and they recaptured the whole duel aspect of POPs original combat. I have a lot more fun in POP4’s combat then I did on the PS2 POPs.
Game’s only real flaw to me was that it was too easy and I don’t men in the you can’t die sort of way. Some of the jumps home in on the right place on the walls or onto pole and pillars way to much. The DLC add on has much more difficult fights, and platforming and was much better in that respect. Hope the next POP is as difficult as the DLC was. To me POPs about unique creative platforming and this POP delivered wonderfully. More varied way around the levels different set peices would be cool but as is it has been a wonderful, relaxing and immerse expirence. It’s not perfect but it’s damn far from shitty to.
