Looks cool. I might pick it up if I have enough money. My one gripe is that she sort of look too thin. It makes her legs look disproportional to the rest of her body. Sort of like a stick figure. But the style definitely makes up for it.
Hi I’m picky as fuck.
i am, but i’ve never dumped on anybody for hyping this game.
i’ve only pointed out what i don’t like about it.
For several months, though?
for a while i was hoping it would get better, and much to my chagrin, it did not.
So stop talking about it. lol.
.
3 expounded upon the fighting engine, but DMC1 still gets the job done. Look at some Dante Must Die walkthrough videos on youtube. The boss gauntlet and the incohesiveness towards the end started to make it unravel.
DMC 1 > DMC 3
Most of 3’s enemies where retarded punching bags. There’s more to an action game then how many damn moves you can string together. Anyone can string a bunch of random moves together against a moron but it takes skill to critical a Shadow.
Then get the fuck out? If you don’t like something after several months, stop torturing yourself and get over it.
pass.
i’m a sucker for consumerism and i give in easy to peer pressure when it comes to gaming.
so even if i don’t like it i’ll buy it, especially if there are trophies or unlockable content.
Then that means you like it to an extent. So stop being an ass. Seriously.
Anywhoooo… DMC3’s enemies WERE punching bags. Most of the Devil May Cry enemies are to an extent. Each and every one of them had simple attack patterns and were vulnerable for seconds after a whiffed strike.
Theres a video on the Bayonetta blog where one of the enemy programmers talks about how youre fucked either way if you make enemies too hard or much too easy, but he rather not make enemies ridiculously hard.
If the final retail copy of Bayonetta is anything like the demo I played, the enemies are also going to just stand around and let you beat them to a pulp. Even worse is that if you dodge any attack with (a pretty loose) parry timing, the game will automatically put you in bullet time (which it calls Witch Time), and dodges are auto-directional (you can choose which direction to dodge, but you don’t have to).
Wow, someone else noticed that besides me. Bullet time not being optional kinda bothers me. I think ill get over it tho.
Sep I wouldnt really hold much against the Bayonetta demo at E3, I remember the DMC3 demo was hella easy, and thats arguably the hardest in the series. Besides, seeing as this game will most likely have a Hard, Very Hard and Extremely Hard its safe to say they wont be pushovers the entire time.
no it doesn’t.
it means that i like unlocking things and trophy-whoring, that’s hardly “ass” like.
“Even worse is that if you dodge any attack with (a pretty loose) parry timing, the game will automatically put you in bullet time (which it calls Witch Time), and dodges are auto-directional (you can choose which direction to dodge, but you don’t have to).”
that’s too bad.
oh! unlockable skins would be tight for this game, i’d love to mob through with 1911’s.
Awhile ago (around E3) PlatinumGames made a thread in their Bayonetta forum asking all the members to post questions they have for Kamiya. Well after a month or so, here it is!
Thought this was interesting.

Shut up
i mean, only a handful of people are gonna wanna take these type of games to another level, so why waste your time programming super hard complex enemies, for it really not be appreciated. most people will beat it on normal and hard, get the cool stuff, get good enough, enjoy the cutscenes and story, and put the game to the side.
Wow…interesting comparison on Jeanne.
Yes, arguably. Personally I think DMC1 was still the hardest game of them all, then DMC3 and then DMC4. Without the ability to roll and dash, DMC1 was pretty damn difficult, at least for me.
Ewww, so she’s basically using her pubes as clothing and weapons? No thank you. :wasted:
I can’t wait for this game.
My one regret is that I won’t be able to play one-handed :wgrin:
