Good thought, but I guess I’m biased in Kamiya’s favor. The guy basically has a spotless record, as far as game making goes. Every one of the titles he’s made, thus far, have been great games. :woot:
So, I’m not too worried, honestly. I don’t think Kamiya is the type of guy to just throw stuff in there, “just because”…it has to do something to fit with the overall design as a whole.
Rating summary: This is an action game in which players assume the role of an ancient witch who battles angels and demons while uncovering the mystery of her past. Players use hand-to-hand combat, magic attacks, and pistols to kill enemy creatures that often spray blood when hit. Players can also perform an assortment of over-the-top finishing moves ? referred to in the game as “torture attacks” ? on the creatures: impalement with an iron maiden; decapitation with a guillotine; dismemberment with a chainsaw; and summoning a demon that bites, then rips characters apart. During the course of the game, some female characters perform suggestive taunts and poses, including opening their legs or gyrating their hips. Some of the more provocative outfits are shed during battle, resulting in brief depictions of buttocks and breasts. The camera occasionally pans close-up on breasts as they are jiggling. Strong profanity (e.g., “fck," sht,” and “a*shole”) can be heard throughout the dialogue.
Good grief, PlatGames! Yes, Chainsaws are awesome, but not EVERY one of your games needs to have 'em!
Any way, to be said again, I can’t wait for this game. It will complete me, and do everything that I’ve wanted to see in a DMC-esque game for a while now.
Hahaha that video was pretty interesting. Amazing that that is what games look like at the start cause the finished procust is so different. The Hand Stand stuff looks dope.
Yep. It was already known since EGM did that interview with Kamiya last year.
So, like I said last page or there-abouts…this game basically does a lot to put all of the greatness from Kamiya’s past games, and combine them into what could possibly be the new standard for action games, as a whole.
The obvious Viewtiful Joe fan in me is jumping up and down with glee! :wgrin:
