That’s DMC’s problem though it tries to look cool without actually being cool alot of the time. It’s not a bad series of games though, it’s just not nearly as cool as it tries to be sometimes.
The new trailer made me change my mind about the game looking like absolute shit. On the real, though, I really need to stop trusting my own opinions when it comes to some fuckin’ action games. I really don’t know shit. -_-

not really. jump canceling allows for a very open combo system. brea uses jump canceling in excellent format in her true style entry for trickster, where she just stays in the air with trickster and gun jump canceling forever, and its god like. you just mad, and be watchin bum ass combo videos
exactly, JC’ing just adds to the gameplay… it’s only repetitive if its done in a boring fashion. people need to watch brea, kail, kyuu & null etc’s combos.
No not at all. Shes very talented and creative no doubt but hanging out int he air beating on dude add infinitude is boring. I’m not mad but perhaps a bit bitter that DMC strayed away from an open system that premoted creative thinking for taking down difficult foes. Doing different combos mattered for the most part in DMC1 because you couldn’t launch every fucking thing into the air and then JC the shit out of. Pulling together creative strings in DMC3&4 is one thing but its hardly impressive since once the damn things in the air it’s a helpless puppet (For the most part i know Assault in DMC4 will jump away from you and you can’t launch a Blitz there are exceptions to most rules).
Basically DMC when it first came had an open system so you could tackle foes in new and different ways that didn’t work on others but for DMC3 and 4 90% of this was thrown out the window in favor of shit that gets stomped down beneath your feet so you can look like a bad ass throwin his body everywhere. Taking down 3 shadows in DMC1 is more impressive then any jump cancel combo i have ever seen no matter who does it and I LOVE Brea. She’s a great player and a great source to look to to shut up people who say Nero is boring and has no options because she proves them wrong very very fast.
But I REALLY don’t want JCing in Bayonetta because** DMC already does that shit**. If i wanna go do that I’ll go play DMC. I want Bayonetta to do something different. If its just going to be DMC in a different skin then I’m pretty much wasting my 60 bucks because DMC already does this shit. Do something different. Give me a good ground based combo system, or put in a break system like MOTWs or some shit but whatever they do don’t do something someone else has already done. Your just wasting everyones time that way.

The million thread title changes reflects the unsubstantiated prejudging of this game without so much as a beta impression write-up anywhere. This latest vid from a day ago at least sheds some light on what to expect.
That’s why I suggested Viper, who started off shit tier and now is considered high, perhaps top, tier…and could still move in either direction at any point.
