I tried to parry the attack but in fact it’s a throw :bgrin:
personally i’m not the biggest fan of pillow talk for that fight. outside of it’s charge attack it’s lack of range really hurt it for me. i got more mileage out of using the infinite climax accessory (one that makes all attacks weaves) with the shuraba because of the great range provided by it’s weave attacks. allows you to stay mobile and far away from him
just got back into town. both the bayonetta guide and the gow3 collectors edition guide were waiting for me. i skimmed through the bayonetta guide, then the gow3 guide, then put them side by side.

I just got the Sai-Fon and the Platinum Ticket (On the same mission ironically). That has now become my favorite weapon. When I told him I got another weapon unlocked, he was wondered when will the weapons stop. Father Rodin (AKA The Infinite One) is a monster. Almost beat him on the first run, but i got caught in a stupid combo, and got waxed in 6 hits  For that mission, Pillow Talk (FULL POWAH!!!) is a beast, but no match for his fists
i ended up avoiding the pillow talk for that fight, it lacks the range of the katana. and you need the range so you can hurt him safely and NOT get raped.
That’s why you CHARGE pillow talk, so you get the huge range and damage increase.
Is it possible/sensible to try to defeat Father Rodin without the Climax Bracelet? I tried fighting him a few times a while ago and just got murdered in literally seconds.
i’m talking about it not having enough range when charged. the katana allows you to throw the weave at father rodin. even when full charged pillow talk doesn’t get weaves because the charged version is considered the weave attack of the weapon. so the strategy without pillow talk is to use dodge-offsets to y, x, y for the weave on the 3rd attack, using the tiger within to get distance from him to use the weave.
only real use i have found for pillow talk in the fight is to charge it up for a released attack for big damage when he stays far away talking shit or whatever (havn’t played in a bit)
Finally beat this game on Sunday…gold Grace & Glory were the fucking wall
gonna go back to get stuff I missed
Need some help beating Alfheim Portal #12 - Beat enemies using limited # of kicks and punches (10ea).
The ABA combo works wonders but the closest I can ever get is 3 kicks left and mission just ends. I have plenty of time and health, and usually one enemy that’s near death. Any other weapons or combos I should be using? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Is that the one with the Grace and Glory?
If so, use Shuraba(katana), charge it up, and unleash. Remember that you can also dodge while charging.
Also remember that you don’t actually KEEP the charge unless you charge it to lvl1
Shhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiieeeeet, I forgot all about Platting this game and getting Pure Plats on all stages, all difficulties. I have too many games to handle at this point. Woe is me…
I have to get back on this game too. I actually have all achievements, but I still never got to fight Rodin, and of course I never got platinums on everything. I doubt that will happen though. This is still the greatest action game of the year, imo…and one of the greatest action games of all time, actually.
I immediately gave up on Father Rodin after I saw/fought him the first time. That epic juggle combo he does that leaves you at 1 pixel of health. Holy shit.
Haha yea Rodin don’t fuck around.
He is the meanest . . . .SHO NUFF!
I am gonna get back on this game again. I want to plat everything. I do have the Plat Trophy though. This will get me out of SF mode to prepare for Transformers
