I think it’s too hard to search for specifically, but any recommended items I should pick up? Aside from the Moon of Mana-kala (sp?), are the others worth the halos?
I want playthrough 2 to be really different.
They are pretty much all worth the halo’s in one way or another. Also there is another motorbike level.

You have to equip them on your feet for the tail, and you need two sets equipped for the ears AND tail.
So what the hell. Finally completed all the Alfheim portals in the game and got the achievement, but I can’t select the Angel Slayer mode. Is it because I didn’t complete the stage after finishing the portals?

Mannnnn Pillow Talk is THE SHIT. Same goes for Sai Fung…you get SO many hits out of that weapon…it’s a combo machine…ULTRA combo, like the Killer Instinct days.
Yeah I am halfway through Hard mode. They should have called them Rearranged modes! But it’s not that hard since I have all the health and magic meter stuff and all the accessories minus the last one. And since I’m not playing for a high score I got plenty of items to use to get me through.
Certainly though, Jeanne is a bitch. I’m not sure if she’s moving faster or what but you are on the defensive a lot more with her (and yes I am using the Gaze of Despair unless I’m fighting GnG then I need my rosary to deal with their witch time immunity). Fun stuff though.

KILGORE GLITCH FOREVER! Like seriously, with that thing, I don’t know why people bother blowing halos at the payphone. Just play the game. All you need to do is kilgore glitch bosses and bigger minor enemies. The rest is stepping up your dodge and parry game and you are set. Gaze of Despair helps too since it’ll force you to deal with constant attacks but I’m never going to buy any weapons.
The very first moon stone half in the game, man eff Platinum! :lol: Destroy all the benches to make the train move. Who would have thunk? And to think, my first time playing I was trying to destroy them all anyway but I skipped a couple not knowing what was on the ground below.
So how many hours does everyone have in Bayonetta? Me? 55.
Final Boss seems so surprisingly easy after you’ve fought it 2 or 3 times. The only attack one really has to worry about is that apparent “black hole”(heh, doesn’t that phrase always sound kinda…nasty? It’s like something from the porn industry.) Even that is reasonably dodged if you went into panther form early on and at a good distance. ha, how crazy is that!? B can escape the pull of a damn black hole!
Those last 3 fights in the game…SO classic. I still watch the cinema scenes on those. The final fight with Jeanne is easily one of my favorite boss battles of all time.…and she’s not even the typical “giant, Godmode boss” you normally expect near the end of a game. The music, the way the action plays out…it’s just incredible…even simple stuff like that one part where you see a close up on B and a close-up on Jeanne as they look over to each other after jumping on the missile…looking like “yeah, what else you got?” I can’t help but smile just thinking of it…I love this game so much.
ProTip!– for anyone that may have missed this…in the last Jeanne fight after Isla Del Sol…once you get to the building AFTER the missile part, there is always a health powerup in the flower pot that is behind Bayonetta at the start of that scene…it’s behind and a bit to the right. I haven’t checked the other pots/vases though…it’s hard to notice since that fight is so ridiculously awesome.
oh total hours for me = I’m also at about 54 or 55 hours now.

heh, Pillow Talk almost seems unfair…I’m loving that weapon sooo much. It’s actually TOO STRONG when powered up. Your combo score might be terrible because it just kills everything immediately. Insane power, huge range…same speed as Shuraba as far as I can tell…it’s delicious. It does kinda suck in standard lightsaber mode though. It also makes any of the “Use Wicked Weave Only” alfheims a breeze, since the charged up form makes all the attacks count as a “weave”.
Speaking of the alfheims, I found all and finished all of them a little while ago, so that’s 2 more achievements down…950/1000. I just need to find all tombs and all of Antonio’s Notes.
Lost Chapter is fun so far.
*oh yeah…I got a surprising Platinum rank on Epilogue… I doubt I will get platinum on all chapters though, so I may have to just cheat to play with my honey Jeanne one day. J is so cute… between a real-life version of her and a real life Bayo… I just don’t know. That might be left to a coin toss.

I wonder how people approach this kind of play. Do they plan the combos and just practice them, or are these “freestyle” combo clips we’re seeing, where people who just know the moves and have great control just execute this stuff out of the blue. When I play, I freestyle.

Was that on Normal? I have a couple of Pure Plats on a couple of boss fights in normal. Granted I’ve been Kilgoring it but Kilgore does not mean you have a PERFECT defense. That’s the challenge. So Million, don’t cheat. You can do it man. You almost have a 1000 achievement points so I know you can get Jeanne the legit way. If there is any hard working B player that I believe in, it’s you.

EDIT—aha! nevermind the rant… I found that sumbitch! The last one was not one of those shown in that dude’s youtube vids… I read another guide elsewhere. There is one tomb on the arch in Chapter 10…that was the final one for me.
and BOOM 1000/1000 club for me, oh yeah. Heh, and I’m still not even close to being tired of this game. If it weren’t for this little thing called a “job” getting in the way tomorrow, I probably wouldn’t even stop playing until sunrise.
i’m down to 2 achievements… figuring out which treasure chest i missed in the game, shouldn’t be too hard considering i got all the weapons, pearl moons and witch hearts… so i just have to figure out which chests have random crap in them. my only question on it is this… is it like unlocking jeanne where you have to update all of our level scores to your platinums to unlock her (i was so annoyed when i hit cancel on chapter 15’s platinum and had to redo the entire tower to truth level) or will it just unlock when i open the last chest. cause if i have to save them that way i have to play back through the entire game again which will be annoying as hell, and i don’t really want to go treasure hunting on nsic, i just want to beat it for the legendary dark witch achievement.
That achievement should pop up right away, whenever you find and break open the last one. Heh, I didn’t even finish playing that level. Once I got the achievement, I was outta there.
oh that achievement for “Antonio’s notes” – I found out that you can have all the notes and not have the achievement yet. If you beat the game, you more than likely have them all. Look thru them on that screen so the new stuff no longer says “New”, and the achievement should pop up. That was basically my situation… heh, I was thinking I must’ve missed a few(*first time thru the game, I wasn’t really going out of my way to get anything unless it was a witch tomb), but all I had to do was look at the new stuff.
Oh and the Pillow Talk sword is such an awesome reward for beating Infinite Climax…you’re going to love that godly weapon. Well, I happen to like stupidly powerful things and characters though.
I probably already said it before, but Sai Fung is the shit too. The combo potential on that thing is crazy.
