Bayonetta demands Dante (DMC) to make her a sandwich. Patch fix available for PS3!

The part after your battle with Jeanne in “Broken Sky”…that part is straight up BULLSHIT on Infinite Climax. I don’t even see how it’s possible without that cheap weird-looking item that damages everything…I can’t remember what it is, but I suppose it works similar to the Holy water from DMC4. It’s when you start trying to escape the plane…water is filling up a very small area QUICKLY while you have to fight an Ardor. It doesn’t seem like she can possibly damage that thing fast enough to move on before the room is flooded, or before he starts attacking Cereza. As for blocking with the Moon accessory… I actually have more success blocking Grace/gracious/Glory/glorious attacks. Ardor’s attacks are ridiculously fast on I.C. It’s like…by the time you notice a start-up frame of animation that is what…literally ONE FRAME…you’re already too late in trying to defend against that.

I also spent probably 30+ minutes trying to do 1 Alfheim challenge on Infinite Climax…it was one where you can only hurt them with Angel weapons. The first wave is no problem…some chump ass Dear and Decorations…but then they bring out 2 packs of Grace & Glorys. That double-whip-sword thing is “ok”, but you can still get fucked up by the others while you hit 1 or 2 with that. The only other real option is that staff with the circular blade on the end…but only the twirling attack since regular attacks with that are way too damn slow for G&Gs…and even with the twirling…they’ll get hit for a second and decide, “oh, I should move away…”, so you don’t even get to do quality damage with any certainty. Ardor’s sword is a fucking joke because of how damn slow it is… there is a rushing attack, but even that is not enough for G&G. You’d hit 1 time with that and THEN get fucked up.

So, you have a time limit, while fighting a group of the enemies that most agree are the most difficult in the game…with the special condition that they can only be hurt with Angel weapons…AND they only need to hit you 3 or 4 times to end it. I’ve come close though…once or twice I had it down to one Grace or Glory left. Also remember that there is no long-range option against Grace/Glory either…at least not a whole squad of them. One might do the fiery tornado attack headed in your direction…while another one electrifies the floor, while another one dives into the ground waiting to re-appear directly under you…while the other guy is ready to catch you with a slash no matter what your reaction to all this is.

ohoooo and it gets better, folks. Remember how “Stay in the Air!” was the easiest Alfheim(well, besides the regular fighting ones)? IC mode says “fuck you. Here’s Grace & Glory. Try and STAY IN THE AIR! with those guys.” Yeah, there is nothing else…just Grace & Glory, and you have to stay in the air. Impossible. Seriously…I see the “Angel Weapons Only” one being possible…but this…no. I will need to see video proof before I even begin to believe it. It’s like when someone back in the day would claim they could beat Battletoads. You know they are lying unless they have proof on video…video that must also be inspected for any clever editing or special effects and other shenanigans. Again… Stay in the Air! …with a Grace & Glory. Impossible.

Million have you tried using the rosary accessory? I swear it was made for infinite climax, since the usual downside (can’t activate witch time by dodging) is unavailable to you anyway. You basically get free damage just by dodging, which you would normally be doing anyway, and it makes a number of parts of the game infinitely easier, including the sinking plane. My #1 technique vs Gracious and Glorious is to run as far away as possible with the panther run, then start charging up the sword. When they catch up to me, I dodge, unleashing the counterattack orb, and then hit them with the charged sword attack while they are stunned by the orb, then run away and do it again.

I like to use it with the parrying accessory and it has made infinite climax very manageable. I’m not even sure how you’re supposed to beat the golem boss without it, at least not with any sort of efficiency.

Hey, Million check this guy’s videos out. He runs a full playthrough (Alfheims included!) NSIC mode WITHOUT relying on the Kilgore glitch/exploit, and Pure Platinums it as well-

This is probably one of my favorite set of Bayo vids right now, just for the sheer amount of skill he displays with the Dodge Offset, and air combos. The best part for me so far is him wrecking the shit out of the Kinships on Ch. 9… too beast.

ah, I just found out by reading on gamefaqs earlier that you can still dodge and maintain a charge after charging up at least to the first level. I’ve gone all this time without knowing that!

I was actually doing ok against Golem earlier on IC. The patterns don’t change… he just hits for more damage on higher difficulty, apparently. That boss has one of the easiest attack patterns to read, imo. I know that as long as you stay within close range, he will likely go into either the 2-arms form or dragon. Two-arms is no threat since by the time the arms come out, I’ve already Afterburner-kicked up to that red ball for either a few shots or shuraba slices. The only real threat from Golem is if you get too far away, imo…then he starts using those other forms.

Kinships have been surprisingly not as bad as I expected on IC. I have indeed been using Evil Harvest Rosary, and that dodge-bomb seems to handle the missiles well enough…so 2 dodges will take care of 1 missile barrage. I still ended up cheating my way thru and relying on a yellow lollipop when health was low.

What the best farming techs and weapon combos?

Sick link dude thank you for that. Pos Rep.

New favourite way to kill things: parry their fireball right back at them, World Heroes style.

fuck that stupid ass rocket riding level… seriously fuck that entire level -_-;

what farming methods are there in this game even? and i found the limited kicks and punches missions to be a breeze once i got durga and kilgore.

I haven’t posted in a while, but the patch makes the game 10x better. After you install, the load times are like 90% shorter, so you don’t actually feel bad when you pick up items (especially those damn notebooks, which used to take some 10 seconds to load up) or die (from shit no new player will ever see coming, like instant-death QTEs or enemies that attack right out of their intro scenes).

The ENTIRE level? The best boss fight in the game is at the end of that one.

ok, that part was fun, but to get to it… you have to do those evil verses 1 and 2. which i got a news flash for the game designers… i have NO skill at those types of games… so even though i’m very good at the action combat gameplay i don’t ever see myself beating those 2 verses on nsic difficulty… which pisses me off because i allways finish the highest difficulty of games like this (generally try to do so with a good score/rank too) like i did so even for ng2, but in this game idk if that’s going to be accessable because of 1 level where they decide that i should utilize a entirely different skill-set from the rest of the game.

bah, double post.

What’s your guys favorite weapon?

I find myself using Sharuba(Samurai sword) a lot. But I LOVE the shotguns, shit is so cash.

Eh with a little bit of practice those two verses are piss easy. Don’t despair yet bro lol.

I rock Onyx Roses (shot guns) and Lt. Col. Killgore and Scarborough Fair a lot when I’m having fun. If I’m going for Platinums though Killgore Glitch all day son.

in terms of just having fun and fighting i love the sword + durga i think it is just the perfect blend of long range/short range/weave attacks. for the stages with the ground burning though i love the ice skates because i can ignore all the burning ground lol.

your right, it’s just a annoying level…

and idk why you like the guns so much outside of kilgore glitch i /hate/ her gun weapons…

I like the noise they make, the way the punch, how they send bullets blazing everywhere, spent casing flying everwhere. They are visceral and loud and make a mess. I love the the little flair animations she has when he uses them. She spins the hand guns like a cowboy, she swing cocks the shot guns for the next volly of shot like The Terminato in T2 lol. It’s just fucking awesome lol. Shuraba is cool but it’s just too…been there done that for me. I’ve kicked shit loads of ass with an ass load of swords. Just doesn’t fascinate me or grab me anymore. being able to stomp ass with guns really really well is new in an action game so it feels fresh and new. Besides I look like a John Woo Character on Crack, Acid, Shrooms, and Speed this way hahaha.

A is either: dual onyx, Shuraba/Durga, or Shuraba or Durga/Odette)

B is generally: whip/kilgore

Still messing around with other stuff but I’m not a huge fan of Fair in general. I like SaiFung but I have difficulty getting high combo points with it for some reason.

In terms of gameplay or style? If you mean gameplay, whenever you do held kick attack in a combo string(barring KKK), it fires all the guns you have equipped, so like, PPPK(hold) with dual shotty fires 3 shotgun blasts at once, which does ridiculous damage. That applies to any setup of her guns in general. Plus Bullet Climax is pretty useful and you get some range attack variety

On Non Stop Climax this level is a rotten piece of fucking shit.

If you don’t feel like playing the missile stages you can just mash dodge the whole time and get through the entire stage without even looking at the screen, with the exception of the bosses and the couple parts where you have to fight while standing on the missile. If you don’t feel like fighting the bosses you can just use a yellow (and possibly red) lollipop and just mash fire until they die. You won’t get a good score but you’ll be done with it quickly and easily.

I just did this myself on infinite climax in an effort to finish the game tonight.
