Bayonetta demands Dante (DMC) to make her a sandwich. Patch fix available for PS3!

I mean, the attack that has like the ruins (or whatever) around it. Like she stands still and waves that shit around, on some power ranger shit. I’ve seen it done in mad videos now. Not the simple Hold Y. It’s something else.

Hold R1?

That’s it? wtf… I’m thinking it’s some wild shit you have to do. Thanks.

I dunno cause I dunno what move you’re talking about. Maybe you could show me? I guess I’m basically asking you cause you have the weapon lol.

I’m having too much fun with the whip now. Those “Stay in the Air!” challenges were already easy compared to the others, but the whip makes them into a joke. You don’t even really have to do anything but whip-grab and jump off bodies in midair over and over again…and of course that makes for an easy achievement as well.

One interesting thing to me here is just how easy and intuitive the combat system is. I guess you can just cancel anything into anything, basically…so you can put all kinds of moves together, and this isn’t even counting the element of Dodge Offset being in the mix…then you have the ricochet factor, with bullets bouncing off walls and ground and whatever to STILL do damage and keep a combo going. Bayonetta’s combat options are just insane…the enemies never had any real chance if the player is even halfway competent with how it all works.

*I’m up to about 670 out of the 1000 so far. The only achievement I think will be a problem will be that one for getting platinum on Verse 1 and 2 of the Space Harrier stage. I tried tonight but only managed gold on Verse 1 and Silver on verse 2, then gold on the Jeanne fight. Man, that is a LONG ass stage. Well, I’m still in the apparent minority that actually likes that stage…the fact that it lasts forever is my only complaint with it. (*Also, you get sent wayyyyy back if you happen to die.)

…oh yeah and the achievement for doing all Alfheims. There were a few that I just barely managed to beat…they’re much more difficult than the regular parts of the game.

i just got owned by Double Jeanne in Angel Slayer mode.

Man all those minutes wasted recharging my Health with Star of Dinetia, only to eat double wicked weaves when im charging Pillow Talk…

I just finished it on Normal. Really fun game, although some things leave a bad taste in my mouth (like forced QTE’s that you’re screwed if you mess up on). Overall, the game felt more to me like a Ninja Gaiden game that doesn’t suck as opposed to a Devil May Cry game.

You’ll get it soon enough, it’s actually pretty easy once you know the enemy patterns. Main thing is maxing out your magic really helps cause those “missiles” are really useful and you have to use them fairly regularly to get more multipliers and help your combo score. Also, you know those small fuel tanks and oil rig pipes on the water? you can destroy those for points to keep your combo going between waves.

Damage shouldn’t be much of an issue when you get the enemy patterns down either since you generally just want to kill them right away. For the slightly stronger ones, don’t be afraid to use missiles, they’ll recharge soon enough just by taking out enemies with your regular gun anyway.

Yeah this stage is fun =)

Does Prologue count as a chapter? Im grinding like crazy for the Sai-Fon.

Yes, it counts. I’m already bored as fuck with Prologue. Grinding Prologue for the gunchucks isn’t very fun. :bluu:

story stuff

Spoiler

I kinda wish Cereza had actually turned out to be Bayonetta’s daughter instead of Bayonetta herself. That kid was way too adorable, I literally smiled in every scene she was in where she’s talking to her “mummy”.

Game was pretty good, although parts of it made me wish I was playing DMC4…so that’s exactly what Alpha and I did, replay DMC4.

God I fucking suck at combos o.O!

How can you stay in the air for that long just ripping combo after combo?

If any of you thought you’ve seen it all in bayonetta or have mastered it… Think again… Hideki Kamiya wants us all to truly master bayonetta and he’s produced an awesome video strategy guide on how… Pretty much the way the game was supposed to be played… Without dying, being stylish, never dropping a combo and getting pure platinum on everything. I’m guessing even FATHER RODIN which is extremely HARD if you haven’t tried to beat him yet. Guess he got tired of people saying they beat it and really haven’t even no where near mastered the game.

This is a quote from the creators of the strat guide.

“Learn how to play Bayonetta with absolute perfection!
Its taken us more than 8 months to completely master Bayonetta. 6,000 incredible hours of testing, observation and intense play, and over 200,000 words to record our experience on more than 400 pages. The result is probably the most complete guide to date. Bayonetta deserves to be mastered, and this guide is your key!”

You can buy it from here when it’s released.

I’m getting the collectors edition.

Also check out our little combo video Djb-13 made. Video produced and edited by DJB-13 from SRK. You can see our names at the bottom left flash briefly when our combos are the ones being displayed. Mainly his video though.

You trying to do those stay in the air missions? If so don’t worry about combos. Just grab the enemy with the whip and jump off them. Just keep doing that.

Nah I just meant in general. In the videos Demon Hyo posted, he manages to stay in the air and just do a bunch of combos. I rather suck at this game and I’ve been doing the basic combos not being able to go all that wild.

I agree on the spoiler, those scenes were too cute and funny at the same time. Usually kids in games are fucking annoying, but not in this case. I’ve actually been thinking about doing the same thing, since recently I finished NGS2, Bayonetta, GoW1 and 2. Might as well revisit DMC4 or 3/1 and possibly even NGS1.

I liked the missle mission as well. So I’m guessing that Trophy is Fire the Afterburners or whatever? Good to know. Also, Valaris, you need to experiment, man. I figured out combos on my own by using different variations of triangle and circle. You’ll eventually stumble upon some combo you really like and it’ll become your new BnB.

On my first playthrough I found like, 2-3 alfheims. When I started replaying it on hard, I found around 6+ Alfheims just in the first 4-5 chapters alone. I haven’t tried doing them on hard, though, I think I want to replay the game on normal after finishing my hard playthrough getting all the Alfheims I can and then tackling IC.

i been checking the trophies and im pretty sure that beating infinate climax is not a trophy, i remember someone here mentioning that it was so i thought id give a heads up…

im outi

Roberth

it should be, its an achievement on the 360.

man i thought there would be an achievement for platinum on all levels but there isn’t its just to unlock jeanne…i’m on ch.16 on hard shouldnt be too bad. the worst part on hard was the verse where you had to break the chest open to get the keys while golem drops down on you every 5 seconds while you have to fight numerous enemies…man that shit was rough until i figured out theres spots on the map where he can’t drop down *)

Yeah, Cereza (the little version) is adorable times infinity. It’s pretty wack that she disappears (being that “Bayonetta” is Cereza and all), and I kind of hate PlatinumGames right now for it.
