hey guys, I hope I dont sound like some kind of kill joy, but eddie is serious about this gaming thing. I feel like you guys arent taking it seriously enough. I hear all this talk about the “other” games, but this guy is coming from FW just to game with us because he wants to join the league. This league thing is serious. We need serious gameplay. If you guys dont want to do it be sure to let him know because he is going to be wasting his time if we all dont get good… :tdown:

He gets his ps2 and says fck the world! hahaha John, I found some good footage at combovideos, you should check out. They have some match vids of a decent ryu facing a ken. Lotsa footsies, but fun to watch. I can’t wait to play Eddie in Marvel man! Should be fun as hell, I love to lose.

yeah I’ve been talkin to some ryu fighters from mexico and the’ve been lettin me in some tricks of the trade, so far they work, I’ve been using them on Jon but the parry is wat concerns me the most, I gotta get some parry trainin goin. I also went back to just fightin and I forget about the supers at times, I do ex moves but not the supers. I guess its not my style to use supers.
Actually I hear that sometimes to use no supers is really good, shows a true fighter. However if it is there, why not capitalize and use it anyway? Magneto can kill without supers, so can most other characters in mvc2. 3s is a bit different, but everyone has their own style. When I use hugo, i rarely hit the gigas. I just use it as a tool to freak the crap out of my opponent because getting hit with gigas is hard to recover from. I usually use it to win a match or at the beginning, or sometimes to regain control. Never at random. I will accidentally buffer it in my series of moves unintentionally, but thas just my terrible thinking skills and execution at work. OR WHAT WE LIKE TO CALL INEXPERIENCE

Sometimes when you need to regain life lead or need to do something damaging to regain control of the match, supers are the perfect tool, especially gigas. Ryu’s first super is fairly damaging. Ive gotten whooped with ryu because I was so use to playing against you guys. No disrespect. Parrying is overrated, but you do have to understand it in order to get good at 3s. Time is on your side.

Got back from a trip from Austin. Kinda messed up though. We were visiting my cousins, and their little girl had cancer for 3 years. And she passed away when we were right there. But at least shes in heaven.
