I’m all for joining the league. But I need to know now if yall guys are willing to do this. We talk about it randomly, but we’re not gonna get to the level we want. I want everyone to get better, and at least have Waco known as a competive city. If its just talk, but no action, then I fail as the the leader of this ‘crew’.
Right now, as a whole, Tekken is our strongest game right now. I know brian CVS2 game is getting better. He practices alot now. Pat’s tekken game is slighty better. Stevun has always had a strong tekken game. He could be very good at CVS2 and 3s if he applied himself. Jose, MVC2 if course. But he plays to wild, he needs to learn control and patience. Joe, 3S and CVS2, are his strong points. Myself, I’ve really been lacking. Tekken would be my strongest game, but In reality I suck. We all suck. I’m not saying that to be ugly, I’m saying that because its true. I know these guys.
Look, I’m ready to do this. We’ve only really been into this for 6 months. I think its time to really start getting into it. We need practice, practice. If yall want to go to other cities, to start playing high level people,and learn. Hell, we can go right now. I will be behind yall 100% percent, if yall are dedicated. If yall wanna be stubborn and not want to learn. Then I’ll end it. TS and all. This was the orginal purpose of WTS. Gaming crew. Now we’re all good friends. But lets take it back to its orginal purpose. This was my orginal plan. Pat and Brian started it. I wanna take it level I want us to be. A fighting game crew, worthy to compete with higher level people. It make take a while, but it’ll be worth it.

Hey Brian, I found some Marvel footage of your team Mag Storm Doom in action. I believe his name is “Natureboy” and he played that team on thise website. Check it out. However, I recommend you change your last person to someone stronger, or find a new team altogether. They don’t really go together. Mag/Storm have a powerful DHC in that order, but Storm to doom, is gay. You need a more combo worthy end game character like psylocke. There are many a vids on MSP. But if you think you could get far with your team then, by all means.
Joe, who are you playing in Marvel, as in what team? I could help you out with tactics, and show you vids you might like. I hope it’s not ryu or any other shoto. :rolleyes:
John, as for marvel, you must learn the fat fly combos, everyone else calls them fast fly, but not me. Learn ground and air tactics if you like Sent so much. As for now, practice this. cr. Fp ( crouching laser), quarter circle backwards + two kicks (Fly), quarter circle backwards + two kicks (fly again, takes you out of fly) repeat over and over again. Make sure the laser gets to the other side of the screen before you cancel it. It has to pin them in the corner as if it were a poke. Play with the assist with sentinel, learn what you can and cant do, and how much damage everything is doing. Fp is a beast with sent.
Jose, control your magneto. You can’t just mash and expect to win against better players. You got magic series down, but you need more. Try this. Launch lp. lk. lp. lk. lp+hp+(U/F) lp lk lp lk then quarter circle back + (lk or roundhouse), then immediately quarter circle forward two kicks together. It’s called the magic series into hypergrav tempest combo. Pretty simple. Can be mashed out of at the end. Highly effective in the corner (Harder to mash).

it’s ok. you have to set a higher standard in order for them to be able to see they have to reach that far.
Good points about Pat. Although I dont play the games with you guys (fighting games are just not me, maybe I could start playing and I might become okay who knows? But sports and FPS are “my thang”) I agree Pat could be looked at as the “glue” I have known John and Phill since we were little kids in elementry and of course I met the rest of yall through them. So, like you said thats who I am linked with. With Pat, its like a instant thing, like you said he is very friendly and everyone can just gel with him. Not that I dont like hanging out with anyone else, im cool with anyone and can get a long with anyone…but Pat leaving, I dont think that should hurt the connection in the group. Sure everyone has people they have a bond with, but thats how others become freinds. When Pat is gone you guys will just have an open chair until he gets back…I personaly dont think it will change anything in the group…everyone might of meet through soemone else and have stronger bonds, but in the end everyone is friends now no matter what.

Wayyyyy back in the day, I would watch videos and then go spend hours upon hours trying to do what I saw in the vid. Then later on I realized it was a different version of the damn game and the things I saw in the video, could not be done on my version.
That is what you guys should do for those 2D games, except Cvs2. Cvs2 requires a lot of PERFECT execution… need 360’s. I rarely see anyone here in Htown playing the game without 360’s.
If DM wants to learn fighters, you guys should teach him Marvel first. I think it’s a big step up from ST, but since no one really plays ST anymore, it’s THE game to start with. It might be fast, but play in T-mode with Magneto Storm Sentinel, just to learn them first. Don’t waste your time learning others just yet. You need basics.
I know you got a PS2 or DC get your hands on a copy of MvC2. The best way to learn is to teach someone else what you know. Get to it John.
