CW greenlit the pilot. Official synopsis:
Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane [Rose] soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.
Hopefully they change her theme tune, what they used during the Flash Arrow SuperGirl crossover was ear grating for me
They need to improve the presentation of Gotham. Putting gargoyles you got from IKEA on random rooftops ain’t enough to make it feel like Gotham.

Show still looks like your by the books generic CW show though.
I would be more excited if it was on the streaming service then the CW. Arrowverse needs to be buried.
Looks like a paint by numbers CW show with the potential to be a Super Supergirl 2 Turbo in terms of handling social issues with the subtlety of a sledgehammer
