In my own personal defense I hate Starbuck because the character is so grating and obnoxious to me and this is before she became crazy prophet chick. She also reminds me of my ex. :bluu:
However, despite her obnoxious, self destructive, borderline insane behavior she has done far more good for the fleet than bad, but my all time favorite scene with her was when she was getting the dog shit beaten out of her by Six.
That was a tactical decision dude. The Cylons wanted the hybrid, and keeping the hybrid dead to the Cylons kept the advantage of any possibilities the child might have on the humans side.
But they didn’t know if it was her or not. I’m sorry dude, but I think you are misinterpreting a lot of what’s going on in this show. Those are all logical decisions.
Again, you are taking her role as a savior as given, but doesn’t it seem possible that she could be unwittingly leading them to a path a failure?
You are ignoring the huge possibility of failure of Starbucks quest. What if all the signs are misleading? Do you recognize that possibility? If you don’t, then I can’t go on anymore with this discussion. TV shows and movies and books often like to mislead the viewer into thinking a character is a savior when they are in fact taking action to doom everyone. If you can’t see that this is possible, you are being dense, and it’s Starbucks unwillingness to recognize this that is one of the most irritating qualities about her.
lol they pretty much admitted the 6th is there and i continue to believe its gonna be adama…no ones gonna see that shit coming. the 6th is gonna be someone hella random.
Not The Pres. Because they talk of her as separate from the 5th in the prophecies. She’s the dying leader. Not the 5th.
Lee? Possible, he is much more centered on truth and justice than the average human.
Baltar? Nope. seems pretty clear he wasn’t one.
Starbuck? Highly likely IMO, but will probably be a red herring. If she’s not there’d better be a hell of an explanation about how she came back from the dead.
Helo? Nope.
Adama? I just don’t see it.
The real big pointer here (and the item someone else was trying to point out) was this quote taken from the last supper pic
"10. The missing figure. Someone is indeed missing from the table admits Moore “We have not reveals the final [unknown] cylon” Does that mean the people already at the table are not the final cylon? Moore laughs, “You ferreted that out pretty slyly. I didn’t really want to give that away”
Looking at the pic, the missing person is sitting between Tigh and Lee. So Who’s Not In The Picture? (And not already a cylon) It’s got to be a recurring character. (I think)
Gaeta
Romo Lampkin
Dr. Cottle
Dualla
Zarek
I doublt it’s any of the other pilots. And everyone else listed on IMDB seem to be episodic non-important characters.
I mean, those who are not established Cylons in the pic, are fully human. Sorry, if I am correct, I don’t want to reveal it. I already did @ Sci-fi forums but nobody is taking interest in my idea. Go to en.battlestarwiki.org, and look up today’s featured episode, under Re-Imagined Series. The title of the episode is called “Tigh me up, Tigh me down”. If you think about it, shes a very strong candidate for the fifth model b/c her arrival in the fleet still to this day cannot be explained. Also, atm, we didn’t know about the resurrection ships, and she is still a member of the cast according to IMDB. She appeared as recent as Escape Velocity in Season 4.
I think Adama is too universally liked to be a Cylon. He is a rock for the humans, and him being a Cylon would pull the rug out from under them. It would just be a bit too drastic. Also, there are only 4 female Cylons so far, so I’m thinking the final Cylon has to be a chick. Starbuck would be too obvious, so I’m leaning towards Rosilin.
for fraks sake, RDM said that those that are on the table are not the final five. Saul Tigh is looking directly at the empty seat, who does Tigh see at Escape Velocity? I think that is the final fifth cylon, who everyone seems to look over for some reason. Business-wise, doesn’t make sense, but with new revelations about resurrection ships and so forth it does make sense storyline-wise. It is the sci-fi world after all.
edit: oh yeah just like I said at Sci-fi, if it does turn out to be her, you heard it here first, world first!!!
We’ve only seen evidence that the known cylons use the resurrection ships. The scale of construction and resources to maintain a seperate resurrection facility for 5 cylons that nobody even knows who they are seems to be quite a stretch. A facility that nobody know about but trails Galactica around the universe just in case one of the final 5 dies…
The Doctor, or the Lawyer, or Zarek. Of those 3 the Doctor was on Galactica when the others woke up, so doubtful.
Think about the chalice in front of the missing person. That suggests someone with power, or craves power…
there is a resurrection facility on New Caprica. Six confirms this when she talked about being killed by the pilot and having to experience it again and again. They had to have come from somewhere and its possible that there are hidden directives to hide any and all of the FF.
I see a tumbler, a wine glass, and Tigh is holding that ugly little cup she drank from to kill herself. I don’t see a heavy gold/bronze chalice anywhere.
There is a max range for resurrection ships. New Caprica is too far away now, and past a nebula and an exploded star. And whatever directives there are, half of the cylons have been questioning them, they’d have noticed if part of the ship is set aside with spare bodies for the final 5.
Read the Macbeth connection at the very end of that Wiki entry. Look up on Wikipedia, the number 7 (just the number, dont include “number”). At the battlestar wiki, type in Significant Seven. Youll notice, Model #7 is skipped, and we know that the four, plus model 7, equals 5, then add in existing 6, and that makes the twelve cylons. There has to be a connection between all of this. Its now Ellen more than ever.
Cavil
Leoben
D’Anna
Simon
Doraal
Six
???
Sharon Valerii
???
???
???
???
9-12 can be Tigh, Tyrol, Andors and Lane. That leaves us with #7 which is the last model.
I know that, but it was still many for him to elect to be awake while they sawed his leg off.
I personally wouldn’t want to go through that awake.
Rebel 6 isn’t dead yet. There’s a brief glimpse of her on some sort of operating table as she’s staring off at some light. Could it be another vision or just the last synapses of her brain firing off before death.
I really hope she lives, she’s my favorite six by far and still has so much potential.
“The twelve models have numerical designations, however only those of the Significant Seven have been revealed so far. With the exceptions of Three and Six, most models are referred to by their “human names”, even by other Cylons. There appears to be no significance to any of the specific numbers assigned to the different Cylons.[15]”
I am curious to know how boomer/Athena came to be known as eight. But wouldn’t it make sense to think the final five are the final 5 models created, with the last hidden one being the “last” model created? Speculation on that page suggests that the final five actually predate the 7 we already know. And Tigh is old enough to be born before the first cylon war…
Also from the wiki, under “humanoid cylon speculation”, regarding the last supper photo and Moore’s comments:
“However, the importance of this photo is seriously put to question given Aaron Douglas’ comments on the photo. According to the actor, he was unsure that Moore had anything to do with the photo, given that Moore was not present for the shoot. Additionally, the photo shoot had at least six different setups and the actors had changed places during the photo shoot, thus contending that there is no hidden meaning for the photo.[7]”
And also suggested:
"The last Cylon is on Earth or the entire population of Earth are copies of the final Cylon.
* In Faith the Hybrid does say that the Final Five are from Earth. "
And mentioned:
"Tom Zarek
Based upon the mutterings of the Hybrid in “Razor”, as well as Ron Moore’s claim that he has already left clues to the final Cylon, one could assume Tom Zarek is the last Cylon to be found.
Tom Zarek likes to move from second-line positions, is not big on being in charge but always craving to be noticed and understood, is constantly trying to make people understand why he did the things he spent time in jail for, and has the “cleanest” past (no known relatives, etc.). His criminal background and political ambitions fit with someone “hungering for redemption.’”
And Lady Macbeth poisons herself by eating burning coal (in some versions), but doesn’t come back to life.
bwaahahaha, you seriously take the line “The missing Three will give you the Five who come from the home of the Thirteenth.” Thirteenth meaning Earth? No. Its also said, that the Thirteenth is actually the remants of Humans. In banding together after their worlds are destroyed, they essentially become the thirteenth tribe. Read the line again.
“The missing three will give you the five, who came from the home of the thirteenth”
Missing Three = Number Three
The five = The final five cylons
Home of the Thirteenth = Human survivors
It’s plainly obvious that this is what the Hybrid meant. Number Three (D’Anna) has already seen the Final Five, so its obvious that once they unbox her, she will tell them who they are, therefore, The Missing three will give you the Five. The last part “who came from the home of the thirteenth” meaning the fleet, its already a fact, that 4 of the 5 members of the final five came from the fleet, therefore one can make an educated guess, that “the home of the thirteenth” is in fact, the fleet itself.
Boomer/Athena came to be known as Eights when they referred to her model as Eight. It’s even recently said in a previous episode when they were plotting to go against Six when Athena convinced them that they needed to stick to their sides. Ellen Tigh is also old enough to be born before the first Cylon war. Havent you ever wondered, as old as they are, that they have never had a child? Remember that Cylons cannot breed.
I was quoting the wiki you sent me to. Don’t blame me.
It’s still not Ellen. If it is somebody at the table, my bet is Starbuck, or Lee. If it’s someone not at the table, I think it’s Zarek.
Edit: The Thirteenth Tribe is the tribe that went deep into the stars. You know, the arrow that points the way, the eye of jupiter… etc.? Or are you suggesting that all of that was put there by gods or cylon thousands of years ago for the remenants of humanity to become the 13th tribe?!?
IMO you are seriously overreaching. Take the bet if you’re so sure.
It’s not anyone at the table ffs, Ron just said in that very article, that they ferreted it out of him and he didn’t want to even give them that little part b/c that obviously makes it easier to determine who the last cylon is.
About the thirteenth, it wouldn’t be a huge stretch, that the fleet becomes the new thirteeth as they journey to Earth, as the previous thirteeth did. It just doesn’t make sense that you talk about the final five, where they come from, yet completely ignore the fact that the four known cylons came from the colonial fleet. Alluding that somehow, Saul, Tyrol, Anders and Lane came from Earth somehow.
