Ah okay…yeah it’s capped. You need like 100020000 points to rank up to rank 12, same for unlocking weapons.
Alright I’m going to pick up this beta today and try it out. I really enjoyed the BF2 engine but I’ll give this a shot. Honestly if they made a BF2 where they fixed prone I’d just buy that.

The only way people would have keys to give away is if they pre-ordered a BC2 dedicated server, in which case they would’ve gotten 10- and I doubt they would give them away on a public forum, especially a non-BC related one.
So, imo your best bet would be to install the client, then watch http://forum.i3d.net/battlefield-series-news/ and http://forum.i3d.net/battlefield-bad-company-2-beta-demo-experiences/ for a post with new keys (“act fast” thread, and new ones). If you see a new key, write it down immediately and enter it in the client, they’re usually gone within minutes.
Port Valdez is funny, after* only* like 12 hours of playing it I found out how to successfully defend the first stage like 75% of the time- AT mines. They’re incredible…give me AT mines and I promise you I can successfully drain attackers’ respawns by stage 3 tops.
Engie with SCAR, 2x mines/rockets perk, AT mines and the M1911 is boss.

Wait! The demo is out for the PS3!? WTF! I liked the ps3 version better than the 360 version because the ps3 let you upgrade your weapons as much as you could till it was over D:< Damn I had gotten up to like rank 11 before my gf came to visit me. <3 the BF series.
Awww its not out yet I guess, But I did notice the U2 demo so I downloaded that. Yea, The bf series strikes me better than other FPS’s because its a bit more realistic in a sense >.> Plus I love the perks and hate the kill streak shit. I got the 360 one to hold me down till the ps3 one comes out, Unless the ps3 one has a different map >.> And lets you upgrade more than one level. Plus I feel the ps3’s analog sticks are less restrictive

so…you should be good. Unless you have a worthy PC that could run the
beta, then you could get a lot more of the game (all the other weeapons n’ shit)
but as of the last page of this thread here, I read that even the PC beta has
been capped at Rank 40, but that should still be enough. Even though I don’t
know why because the PS3 beta wasn’t capped. Uhhhh, DICE? What’s up with

Don’t understand why they would do such a thing, it’s the weapons that are unlockable later on that look…questionable in their power and what not, so not letting people test those seems retarded. My hope is that they wanna gather some statistics with just the basic weapons (well, the first three available) and will remove the cap in a few days to let people test the rest. Maybe I’m being nave.
In other news, I really like the ACOG 4x scope, it’s great for sniping short- to mid-range…too bad I hardly ever get to play sniper since everyone else does with no regard for what the team needs; always end up switching to engineer after 2 minutes out of necessity. :bluu:

Does anyone else have an issue with not being able to see their health? from a tactical point i need to see it, to judge my attack or defend. I know it recharges but at a very slow rate.
Nah not really, It adds the need to be more careful in my opinion.
