Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread

I love the M95 for super long range sniping more than the M24. I hit a dude with a head shot from literally across the entire map and got a marksmanship award bonus of 400ish points. The only thing that people might not like about the m95 is that you need to compensate for its major bullet drop, but once you master that you will be very very deadly with the M95. The crosshairs of the scope are very nice imo.

I also love the SVU silenced sniper on medium to short range maps, shit is insane.

JayGee,

I do have a Mic and what times do you play. I will go ahead and add you also my AIM SN is

lalphaqupl

RockBogart what system you playing on?

But how shitty is it that every gun unlock after the M24 is worse or identical? Would be nice to have it a little better, not Modern Warfare 2 better, but slightly better.

I wouldnt call every single rifle after the M24 worse or identical. It all depends on the maps you are playing on. You wouldn’t wanna use the M24 on a really small map or a really long range map (well I wouldn’t but others might)

You just need to find out what maps the different sniper rifles work best on. On that dark nighttime snow rush map and the snow conquest map its the SVU for me all day. Things will also change once you get Magnum Ammo also. You might see that a weaker sniper rifle will be more comparable to the m24/m95 once you have Magnum Ammo equipped.

I prefer the GOL better because it has no sway and it’s mad accurate.

Yea the GOL is tight, I can imagine it with the Magnum Ammo too. 1 hit kills all day

If anyone wants to add me on PSN they can. Name is under my Avatar. I’m working on assault right now, also I have a mic and I use it.

edit: Forgot, I usually play the between 10:30 pm - 2:00 am central.

I make bitches ring da ambalamps all day long.

I wish people would try to win in Rush Mode. The Attackers always do the same shit. Instead of trying to destroy A and B, approx. 2-3 camp on a hillside sniping around A and B, while another 2-3 camp in a random house around A and B. All so they can get spawn kills. What’s the point in trying to win, when all you have to do is get 4 extra kills to make up for the winning bonus? It’s just annoying.

Yeah I just take all the points for blowing up M-COM stations if my team will let me. I usually have to re-plant a charge at least once per station so that’s 60 points plus the 100 for blowing it up and plus the whatever for killing people while getting there and defending it while people are attacking it. People are doing themselves a disservice if they think the stations are a wasted effort.

i agree that there should be more points for blowing up crates or deactivating them to give more incentive for others to help out. haven’t picked up this game yet but i’ll be getting it tomorrow since i started to like the demo before they took it down on xbl.

Group of campers annoying you? Do a mortar strike or sneak up and knife them all. Campers tend to get into a comfort zone where it’s assumed that the area is safe and even if they’re hiding in brush it’s still easy to pick them apart.

Spot them for extra chances of justice being done. So many ways to deal with campers. This is *not *Modern Warfare.

Was Magnum Ammo confirmed to work with Recon guns? The guy posting the GFAQs threads with info. taken from the Prima guide said magnum ammo did not work with Recon guns. Likewise in that thread it said “increases accuracy” rather than increase to accuracy and damage like I’ve seen everywhere else. Curious if both of those were over sights on his part, by the guide, or things have changed so now Magnum does work with Recon guns. As someone who will probably be playing a lot of Recon not sure I’m thrilled with everyone getting one-shot killing ability with sniper rifles due to that spec. if that’s true. Well, outside of Hardcore mode at least. I liked the small deterrent effect bullet drop and headshot kills provided in the demo to completely useless Recon players, even if things are different post-launch.

I wouldn’t take anything a prima guide says seriously. But I will test it to see if it increases the damage. I don’t see why it wouldn’t though because someone can just slap on Ceramic armor and nullify the damage increase (except for the head).

Also, it already takes like 2-4 body shots to kill a person depending on what rifle you are using (bolt action or semi-auto) you would really want for Magnum Ammo to increase the damage since once they spot you then you are dead 8/10 times.

I was probably exaggerating about 1 shot kills with Magnum Ammo since its only a 1.25x damage multiplier.

Oh I know about the guides. If for no other reason than deadlines and review copies of games they’ll always be sketchy at best for minor to sometimes major things come release day. The other thing I had in mind outside one shot kills to places other than the head was with ceramic body armor. Ever since I downloaded the demo and saw body armor and magnum ammo. specs. have been curious if at the end of the day you’ll be stuck carrying one or the other in that slot. Or will DICE provide enough incentive with other things you can ignore them both, as I think equipping improved radius and increased healing speed both at the same time for Medics requires not using magnum or ceramic, as the only example I’ve got at the moment.

Curious what happens when you test it and how the game will go, as I’m probably worried over nothing at the end of the day. This was also one of the last things I hadn’t seen anything on also, as basically I’m trying to find ways to kill time before my copy arrives roughly a week from today sadly.

Thanks for the reply.

I don’t give a shit what anyone does anymore. I’ll just adapt to what the team is doing, get the free points by dropping ammo at bitch ass campers or healing/rezzing dumbfucks who rush the middle of the field. I still don’t like sniping but it’s the easiest way for me to get points cause that class is so newb friendly. I use weapons that feels comfy to me.

Ok, just got my new PC put together and I’m gonna start adding you guys to Steam and playing now.

Being a Medic is so EZMOAD. Lol. Find a competent camper or two, toss health packs, paddle their ass if they “die”, rinse and repeat.

I got 2500 points in one conquest game doing just that, running back and forth between two snipers. Second highest person got 1500.

Long live Medics!

Get that mic charged up, buddy. Medac, quit playing Dragon Age. LOL
