David has a infinite. Up+HK until death. CHEAP AS HELL! He also has LPx3, HPx2, when combo is done immediately press LP+LK, then immediately jump up and press LP+LK. This combo takes off 'bout half of your opponent’s life bar.

Great game btw huge fan of the game. Great music. Solid gameplay. Me and Sanford use to play this hardcore back in the day, hell even recently in the past year we’ve played it, haha. Games good and it can be fun but on high level.( Me and Sanford played this game so much its been played to expertise level) its really dumb on high level. I can go really indepth to support my statement on the game but maybe for those that are interested, anyway this is a comprehensive tier list me and Sanford concluded after breaking this game literally to its limit.
Top Tier
Veil/Abel: Gems arent good mid screen since you can flip out of the first hit then block the rest but if done in the corner it deals alot of damge. Damaging in itself. His most damaging combos deal with the Spin Kick (OTG). Has alot of OTG combos which makes him great, and can combo after his grab which deals alot of damge. Best character in the game. Veils actually better because of the range and gained normals that Abel lacks.
Sho: Speed. Sho is the fastest moving character in the game next to Shultz, he can back dash over half of the screen and runs incredibly fast and Air gem croosup is what makes him the real deal. When you to an opponent you can toggle the camera angle where the Air Gem becomes
unblockable and does alot of damge, about 30% clean if done right, and thats alot considering Toshindens damage scaling. Time freeze is ok to use if you can get it off but not really a factor in winning. His sacrafice move is great if you both have little life. Since the sacrafice does more damge to Sho then his opponent the best time to use it is when both characters are low on vitality. If both Sho and his opponent die. Sho gets back up and is awwarded the round. Too good. Speed, agility and a good deal of damge make Sho tops.
Tracy/ Rachael: Air Gems. They’re air gems do ludacrus damge which makes them big threats. That, overdrive is very good and good strings.
Shultz: Ground Gem very good. OverDrive extremely good since it freezes time and you have literally an instance to roll away from it. Extremely agile.
Rungo/Adam: Ground gam is what makes them top. It deals a ton of damge and is instantanious, so if you flinch your gonna get hit and its a low. They have this Wall combo that takes alot too. Rungo’s actually better than Adam although Rungo is alot slower his overdrive is better than Adams and his desperation Super is 3/4 screen.

That about covers it. There are some really bad matchups in this game too. If I can get in contact with Spooky hopefully I can get him to host some match vids like the ones done with Tournament Fighters to show everyone how indepth Toshinden can be. Anyway its cool to see people have an interest in Toshinden. I dont know if anyone played it but Toshinden 4 (which never came to the US…Thank God) is the worse Toshinden ever made…worse than Toshinden URA for the Saturn and that was just plain horrible

BAT3 almost failed for not having Fo. Abel and Veil kind of made up for that.

Jeron wazzup. Is there a way to get out of David’s infinite? It’s Up+HK until death. The ONLY way I see this breakable is that there is a combo-breaker of some sort, and so far I don’t think there is.

To my greatest knowledge there are no infinites in Toshinden 3. After a certain number of hits the game makes the character fall out of any combo in its longevity. Its been a while but what does Up+High Kick do? Is that where he kocks you all the way to the ceiling. If so you should have very little recovery for it and they should fall on you.
Also for those that didnt know theres a Toshinden Anime they made some time back. There were two I believe both 30-45 minutes long.One featured Sho (Clone from Toshinden 2 on Saturn) Fo Fai, Sophia vs Eiji, Uranus, Chaos vs Gaia (Classic Fight) Eliis’s very short appearance and a couple others. Im actually gonna look for it again.
Davids up hk puts them into what looks like an unescapable stagger which you can repeat over and over, thanks to 2nd to god for that info

hmm I’ll have to check into that myself. Im more than certain it wont change him to being top or anything but Im pretty sure the setup conditions isnt easy to pull off. Anyway found the movie I was talking about for those interested…

What was it that made Toshinden 4 seem so bad? and why
hmmm where do I begin?..Horrible grapics, very sloppy and stiff gameplay. Toshinden 3 can be a little stiff playing at 1/60 frame speed but Toshinden 4 surpasess that by a great margin. Terrible story line. None of the casts are in TSD 4 with the exception of Naru (she’s grown up and fights with Kayins sword)
Very bad game. Huge disappointment to Toshinden fans.
