Niggas wish Eisenberg had the kind of build to pull off that suit and menace…
But maybe I’m being salty about the fact that that Super Bowl Jaguar commercial just featured three actors who would be a better Lex in their sleep than Zuckerberg…

This should be Wonder Woman

fixed. seriously they should do a casting on the cast director first. Sleeping your way up doesn’t make sense anymore when you see these niggas get big roles on “important” flicks
Cool art doe.
Eisenberg has played a real-life asshole billionaire, so maybe it’s not such a stretch for him to play an imaginary asshole billionaire.
Remember in 2004 when Batman Begins was going to be awful because the Batmobile looked like a monster truck?
Hey, Inanimate Object casting is a WHOLE different thing!
And also it’s a big leap to go from smug, anti-social douche who doesn’t know any better to what Lex Luthor is.
Its not that the actors are bad, most of them are very solid, its just the roles they were picked for were awkward
I second that, would’ve preferred Mark Strong, he was my first pic with Cranston being the second.
A smug, anti-social douche who owns stock in Wahl?
except that entire batman trilogy is awful except dark knight, which is only dope because of joker, not anything else at all. two face was cool too, but it was all joker.
dude will be fine as lex. people just wanted a medium build 40 year old guy to play lex, or something they were more familiar with. if the lines are good, and the suit is straight, im sure he can deliver a decent performance.
if this ryan reynolds knock off can do lex in smallville, zuckerberg can too
I don’t know how Jesse will be as Luthor, but everything from the inclusion of Batman and Wonder Woman down to this stunt casting is making me think they’re putting too much unnecessary pressure on the movie. They’re taking too many longshots. At least, that’s how I see it.
^WB execs don’t have the patience to build things up properly like Marvel did.
Marvel took its time, but I’m not sure “properly” is the right word when half of Iron Man 2 was derailed for the sake of marketing The Avengers.
Growing pains.
Speaking of building, that’s the thing sticking out to me about Luthor. In this movie, he’ll either be on the come up, or he’ll be established already.
A.) If he’s on the come up, how’s he going to fuck with superman to begin with? As in, be a threat?
B.) If he’s established already, I don’t see Eisenberg pulling off “confident billionaire who has the world by the balls” well. His Zuckerberg more or less didn’t process the stupid/bad things he was doing, and Eisenberg has always been somewhat neurotic in his roles. Also, dude just looks too damn young to have Lex’s amount of power around the city. Stupid as that sounds, I just don’t get the Luthor vibe from him when I look at him.
in Man of Steel it’s established he is already around, hence the LexCorp building he takes out, and the LexCorp truck he dodges.
And yes, the main issue is that he doesn’t have that “I’m a billionaire who has built an amazing company” feel to him. He would possibly be a good Lex in Smallville or some sort of prequel, but not this.
Cool beans
People can hate on these new actors, but they’re not the problem. Zack Snyder and Geoff Johns are the problem.
Geoff Johns baffles me cause he can write some good comics so how did he fuck up the Green Lantern movie?
He didnt.
Ryan’s ass looked incredible in the suit.
