Preppy out here jumping off the deep end because i made post while i was watching the movie, about how good i thought it was. Like im not allowed on srk to enjoy something because i have enjoyed it before. lol
We’re months past the release of this movie theatrically. I really dont care to correct incorrect things said about the movie, or argue weird opinions. If you like it, great. If you dont, okay.
Some people do want to come here to have positive conversation about BvS. Not just watch people, some of who at varying times have not seen the movie, complain and hate on it. Not saying thats you. Im just speaking in general.

If “I’m asking for it”, you should probably get help before you’re in jail on rape charges. I just watch different movies than you do and I enjoy different movies than you. I also enjoy taking with rational people about one of the most iconic characters in history, literally up there with I think some Mexican named Jesus, and enjoy the possibility that great writers, great directors, and great actors might get to do great things with that great source material. What an asshole I am for being interested in possibilities of excellence.
I’m interested in people’s critical opinions. I’m not going to bullshit you about the things I like, and I don’t find it interesting to listen to people who are gargling balls-deep explain to me about how awesome things are. Maybe I don’t get to be lucky enough to find a rational soul who’s watched the movie here, but I kinda would like that. It’s a small dream, but it’s mine.
Chill out, Sméagol. I’m not going to take it away your copy of BvS: Extra Deep Edition from you. Just interested in POVs from people that haven’t swallowed the white Kool-Aid. I simply come from a different background and like different things. Viva le difference.
Honestly, I don’t think anyone’s opinion here is going to change mine. I’m one of the few who actually enjoyed the theatrical release for what it was. Hearing so many positive things about the extended cut makes me excited to watch it again.
I haven’t purchased anything yet, but I plan to get the digital release and the physical bluray because I have a bunch of Amazon credit anyway. Probably won’t get to it until this weekend though (unless I spend too much time playing with Balrog). But seeing people’s opinions change who didn’t like the first cut, and seeing that Jimmy likes it even more, makes me believe I’ll probably love it and I’m fucking hype.
Everyone else who hated it the first time, well that didn’t phase my opinion at all. But I’m probably not as critical when it comes to comic book movies as most folks here seem to be. I still liked BvS better than CW, this version of Superman just resonates with me I guess.
Whatever. People have said they liked it. An entire round table of haters of BvS who really liked this new version was posted the last page. Regardless of my bias opinion, maybe actually its good, or at the very least much better.

I don’t give a fuck if the movie isn’t representative of the comic book experience. That’s a cheap shitty out. Nobody cares. We’ve all watched adaptations for years. Part of the reason I posted my opinion on the Ultimate Cut was because I didn’t like BvS in theatres. I figured if my view of the film could change so much, then maybe others would feel the same way. The movie is still flawed but I actually enjoyed the Ultimate Cut. The theatrical cut is and always will be ass.
