No we didnt. Everyone took a fat shit on that movie before it came out, except for like 3 people, who were likely trolling. After like 3 of us saw it, and said how unbelievably out of this world shitty it was, the thread pretty much ended. There were just some ramblings as things came out about how shitty the production was.
You guys on the other hand are crying now for 13 pages (the entirety of the ff thread) about a movie you hate, and are so desperate to keep your circle jerk going, youve attempted to change the discussion multiple times. Ive missed out on the last 7 pages or so, but when i was in here, people werent even giving logical reasons for their hate. Many of whom are pretending to be comic fans, but didnt appreciate all the awesome comic shit the movie gave you. Theyre too busy trying to get lex jr’s cock out their mouth, and whine about the dark knights influence on the movie.
Here is a little help for you guys in the future. Dont go see a movie produced by the same guy who always makes, darker, more brooding movies, and expect a bright, marvel, joss whedon spectacle of one liners and hot babes. lol. Its like niggas have never seen 300, watchmen, sucker punch, and man of steel. Then walked into this movie confused somehow.
Here is some good back and forth from the screenjunkies guys. Its basically a 2v2 vs people who enjoyed it, and people who hated it, but both being fair about the parts of the movie that were questionable, or kinda bad. Its long, but good.

Jimmy, I know we agree on many things, but please believe that we aren’t shitting on this movie because it’s dark, brooding and not lighthearted.
We are shitting on it because it was a terrible script that tried to roll 3 movies into one by swapping scenes every 30 seconds, had plot holes up the wazoo, tried to make Superman the scourge of the Earth, force fed JLA down our throats with the cheesiest TV movie sub plot and was just generally poorly made.
Hack Snyder is terrible. David Goyer is terrible.
And I feel terrible that I couldn’t enjoy this movie because I enjoyed MoS.
Were there any positives to this movie? Affleck did a good job with Batman but what happened with everything?

I dont understand how it was a terrible script. Thats quite the statement. Yeah, i mean, it rolled a few movies into one, but most of the entirety of the movie was spent about batman not liking superman, and being afraid of him. With a side piece of lex feeling the same way, but even more sociopathic and fearful than batman is about it, because he doesnt even have what batman has. The one thing he did have to fight off superman, was stolen from him by batman.
I loved to see someone here give some sensible reason as to why the script is horrible. Its pretty easy to follow, with great moments, and some uh wut moments. It didnt have plot holes up the wazoo? Like what, lex jr getting into the kryptonian ship? Who cares about that. Why spend unnecessary time figuring out an inane way to get into the ship, when you just do the finger print shit and call it a day. Sometimes you cant just spend too much unnecessary time on silly shit. Just suspend your disbelief, and keep it moving like we do in all of these comic movies.
I could understand the disliking of essentially making superman the scourge of the earth as you say, but imo thats a more realistic viewpoint of his character that i like. Especially coming off of man of steel, where a city got leveled by aliens pissed off at him. I mean, id rather have those philosophical and social questions and issues posed about superman, than just a movie about how awesome he is, with no flaws, and magically saves everyone who encounters danger.
Meanwhile people are getting wrecked to death in marvel movies, but marvel doesnt allow them to take that angle of the consequences to their actions. Well not until now in civil war, but i bet they barely touch on it in that movie, and its just going to be about a bunch of superheroes fighting, not the humans caught up in their nonsense wars with each other. That to me is more silly. That cities get leveled, tony creates ultron, and everyone is still like, I LOVE YOU AVENGERS, YAAAAY. Like thousands of people havent died, and they arent the direct cause of much of this chaos.
JLA wasnt force fed. They just wanted to throw in a little hype for the fans. I mean, there is no reason anyone should have a bug up their ass about 3 minutes of the movie showing you the jla. How people are upset about that is beyond comprehension. There is literally no argument that makes any sense against that. Now the flash traveling through time in dreams to warn bruce about superman was rammed in there, and confusing as shit. lol.
Nothing in this movie is realistic. No one acts like they are real fucking people in this.
There was more to the FF thread then that. After the movie dropped there a flood of articles detailing the troubled production of the movie, how everybody felt it was the time for Fox to sell the property back to Marvel and Fox needing Marvel to get their X-Men TV shows off the ground.

Jimmy, we get it, you love this movie. I had two or three posts where in my opinion the movie just was stupid and you felt the need to go line by line trying to prove that your opinion was the right one. That’s a weird stance to take, so I politely ignored you. People are going to have different takes on things: it’s pretty healthy. Much like after playing CvS2 for three years you’re going to be sick of it… and when it’s been gone for a while you miss it like an old girlfriend.
I’ve been posting about it because it’s a baffling mess, and the insight of the weird interviews with the Snyders and whatnot are insightful. I don’t think Snyder is as lost as Bay, but I’m baffled as to why something with such good intent could have gone so awry. Watchmen wasn’t flawless, but it seemed headed in the right direction. Everything since then has consistently been off the rails and not getting any better at all. They need to give this guy a better support network.
Everything is just sketched in. Even while I’m a big fan of Batfleck, I respect that it’s in part because he didn’t have to do much at all.
