beast boy will be snapping necks 2 min in. starfire will be a rehab crack addict who nightwing finds on the streets of bludhaven suckin dick for drug money.
God damn that movie was a mess. I enjoyed the meaningless action though [details=Spoiler]I about died when Batman grabbed the sink to hit Superman over the head with.[/details] There was zero motivation for Lex and Superman and so many holes it was hard to keep watching with a straight face. Odly enough though I am actually excited for the solo Batman movie. Get Zach Snyder out of here go back to making Sucker Punch.
lex’s motivation is hes always been metahuman xenophobic. this has always been a priority for him. he likes the idea you can work hard and achieve the best…he doesnt like these people viewed as gods who are just randomally gifted these abilities.
superman’s fixation on batman sorta makes sense but he really shoulda focused on the fact he and lois got jumped. that honestly shoulda have been priority…they put lois in danger for a reason…but he was so blinded by batman and his crusade.
I dunno if we should feed the troll…people are saying AOU is same/worse than BvS.
All I have to say is whatever you’re smokin’ must be some galactus shit
We were never talking about financial success.
Hell, if all we’re looking for is money, let’s get Trump to star in Justice League, have Michael Bay onboard, and insert 10 of the dankest memes, feature esports, have lots of product placement, and whoever the hottest young female star is should get 50 minutes of screentime.
plz no, if we’re not gonna get a teen titans/young justice rebirth, just let the shit RIP!
Pros:
-Cavill is an absolute perfect casting choice for Superman (More a MOS pro but whatever).
-Affleck was a good Batman. He encapsulated the cold calculating vigilante better than dare I say anyone else who has ever played the role.
-Batman fight to rescue ‘you know who’ was probably the best Batman fight scene ever to be captured on film
Cons:
-Too long. Too many elements and storylines packed into one movie.
-From a storytelling standpoint the fight between Batman and Superman felt hollow because the narrative gave you nobody to root for. It felt like watching your mom and dad fight; you just wanted them to stop and make up. Then in the blink of an eye Batman did an about face just like that. It was like a Three’s company episode where the entire premise of the episode is over a single misunderstanding.
They were some plotholes that I felt they tried to slip by us.
Overall not terrible but nowhere near what it could have (really should have) been. I give it a 6/10.
If I had to guess what lex’s motives were, it seemed that from his conversation with that politician woman that he has this bias view against beings of higher power. He was talking about how god couldn’t be both all powerful and all good, that he had to be one or the other. I took that to mean that he wanted to expose superman because he didn’t buy into this idea that he was a heroic figure. He wanted to expose him to the world which is why he wanted him to kill batman and bring him his head.
It isn’t a terribly bad motivation but just needed a lot more refinement. Although to be honest he isn’t any worse then most MCU villains. Honestly outside loki nearly all the MCU villains are 1-dimensional and usually the worst part of the movie.
The fact that you have to guess at the true motivations of the MAIN FUCKING VILLIAN of this movie speaks volumes of just how schizophrenic the writing and editing is in this film.
All that stupid ass “God vs Man” bullshit really wears thin after they hit you over the head with it for the 874th time…
