I’m literally indifferent because here’s the thing, it’s a fucking comic book movie, we aren’t talking quality cinema here, who cares? If who is playing Batman has any effect on your life, do more.

^^ Because the nolan trilogy wasn’t “quality” cinema with big budgets, star casts, or mainstream appeal. They were just dumb kids movies, ammiright?
Oh, you mean the bit where his seclusion was built from a specific plot point in the previous movie and sprang from the development of the character? Yes, I remember that.

You are picking the wrong person to ask this of, I think they are fun popcorn films with like one really good performance in three films. It’s not like I’m watching Kubrick or Kurosawa here, they are summer big budget films. I’m not saying they are bad or I don’t like them, I do enjoy them. I own all three. However, I’m not going to call them quality cinema. Disagree if you like, your opinion of my opinion is of little consequence to me.

So then isn’t it stupid to come on here stating “who gives a fuck about who plays batman” when clearly to a lot of people, these films do equate to quality cinema.
To be fair I do agree comic book movies are not elevated forms of art because they are adapted into mindless popcorn fun 95% of the time…particularly with marvel. However it is a big deal when casting these iconic fictional characters because of the impact they have on pop culture. We’re not talking about random Indy films only 12 people will watch after all, we’re talking about films that are likely to gross hundreds upon hundred of millions.
Yup and angryliberal, if you honestly don’t care one way or the other, then why are you even posting about it?
Try going elsewhere to a topic where there actually is discussion about “quality cinema”…whatever the hell that is.
Hold the press!
According to this site, Bryan Cranston is officially Lex Luthor
As Cosmic Book News previously was informed, Lex Luthor has been cast in the Man of Steel sequel that will feature Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.
Now we have been told a batch of new details, on top of why Affleck was chosen as Batman.
Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lex Luthor in what is said to be at least a six “appearance” deal (think of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury popping up in every Marvel movie in the run-up to Avengers) and may be as high as ten.
Look for the official announcement to follow the conclusion to the final season of Breaking Bad as WB wants to dovetail off the end of that.
Regarding Ben Affleck, we are told he has allegedly a 13-appearance deal for Batman.
DC is going to have all of their main characters liberally appearing or at least mentioned in all of their movies to portray a more connected world than what Marvel Studios has done so far.
DC also does have major interest in bringing Matt Damon into the Justice League now that Affleck is on board, and it is rumored that he is being considered for Aquaman or Martian Manhunter.
Regarding Mark Strong playing Lex Luthor, the one thing that worked a bit against him was that he was already Sinestro – and still could be again.
“Cranston truly is a dream casting for Luthor,” we’re told.
Oh gawd…just…gawd…
…Batman is going to be portrayed by that horse’s ass for THAT long?!
By cramming on/off cameos into their Batman/Superman movies? Yeah… they wish.
So long as they “shove out” that Justice League movie on-time, thats all that matters right?

13 fucking appearances? Has DC lost their damn minds?
Because I like being a dick, that’s why.
Well…at least we still have…
OMG! Online petition to remove Affleck from the role!

Yeah…online petitions can go fuck themselves.
There was a petition to stop Keaton from being Batman too.
Nerds.
I’m embarrassed to be a comic fan again…why do my people always make me look bad.
