[details=Spoiler]Dumb things n.1 and 2 about the movie. Bruce pirates Lex Corp but Diana steals his device. He finds her to get it back and she tells him that she stole it because Lex has something she wants back but couldn’t access it because of Bruce’s security.
Bruce then goes in Lex’s folders and finds a photo of Diana from early 1900s, sends it in a email to her with other meta humans (Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg) folders. Yep Lex knows their secret identities already wtf.
She looks at the folder’s videos and you see Flash saving a guy in a shop, Cyborg being created and Aquaman underwater. Dumb thing n.2 in some extent, crazy things were happening at that time we didn’t need to shift the focus on that even if it’s short. Felt a bit forced.
Then you wonder why they’re in the movie in the first place, I recommend you to stop reading but do as you wish.
In the first hour Bruce in the BatCave has that trailer knightmare where he’s captured by Superman soldiers and tied underground. Superman comes, kills the guys tied around Batman and yells at him “she was my world and you took her from me” just before putting his hand on Bats. It ends on a scream and you see Flash in the speed force almost making it to the BatCave telling Bruce "you were right about him, he’s dangerous, Lois is the key. You have to find us " then he disappears. I was like holy Injustice shit. At the end of the movie Diana asks Bruce why he is looking for them and what makes him think they’ll fight, he says that he has a feeling they’ll have to.
Don’t know what review Maggeg read that says Superman kills humans, yes he did in knightmare but the guy completely missed the point.[/details]
Huge spoiler. Don’t read it if you care, you don’t want that scene to be ruined for you trust me.
to give people an idea on how the story unfolds, here is my scene description for the batcar / supes scene
[details=Spoiler]
batman is tracking lexcorp employees who are illegally importing kryptonite
he shoots a tracker onto the truck containing the kryptonite
he then comes out and starts murdering all the guards in their cars around the truck, including harpooning one and swinging it around
he also destroys a lot of property in the process
he uses the batcar to smash through a wall and almost destroy his own tracer to ram into the truck
as he continues chasing the truck he passes by superman who is just…i dunno, chilling
he tries to hit supes and is sent flying off to the side
supes is all yo imma give you a warning drop yo case against me
bats is all DO YOU BLEED
then supes flies off and bats drives back to the batcave with a flat
what happened to the truck? it got to luthor safely of course, fuck the truck and all its automatic weapons and bazookas that were in clear view when superman swung by[/details]
and then i suppose alfred puts on the spare tyre off-screen because he is under-appreciated
When we get the shitty Darkseid plot that’s coming, you know damn well they’re gonna rip off the “Darkseid brainwashes Supes” storyline and everyone’s gonna have to get Kent back to his senses after he bodies them.
My brain is subconsciously trying to make it a better story because it runs on logic, something which Zack Snyder and David S(stands for Shit) Goyer obviously do not.
Which part? I’ve watched a lot of movies since they’re a pretty chill way to end the night with your partner. I think MoS is needlessly pointlessly bleak and hopeless at times (the sacrifice of his father being incredibly stupid, the killing of Zod being way overplayed) and could have used more exhilaration and cheer. It’s fucking Superman, not Judge Dredd. Why does Judge Dredd have a warmer color palette?
Anyways, off-topic. MoS is over except as a prequel to this. I’m going in tomorrow night/tonight with a heart full of optimism. Even if I now know there won’t be nearly enough Aquaman in the movie.
as a passionate dc fan, i guess i still held hope the movie would turn out alright. however, i knew that with Zack Snyder at the helm of all these new DC films, the films would end up being mediocre. not to mention his handpicked Superman has zero charisma and doesn’t really reflect all the qualities that make Superman great like Christopher Reeves did back in the day. i was actually a fan when warner bros. announced affleck as batman, i thought he would surprise a lot of people and really curious about his performance. but yeah have to go back to Zack Snyder…the man needs to be removed from directing these films if warner bros. wants to match the quality of movies Marvel/Disney create. he seems to want to recreate a dark atmosphere like the Nolan movies…with none of the wit or decent storytelling. i wish DC movies would move less from the depressing, gritty atmosphere and try to reflect the heroic, noble qualities of these characters. i grew up watching Batman: the Animated Series and the storytelling, music, atmosphere…it could be dark, yet still represent the noble qualities that made batman a hero. man wouldn’t it be great if they could recreate that live action on the big screen… big budget films only want mindless action, but i wish there was a batman film that focused on his qualities as an amazing detective, that would be a fantastic story.
