You have to be pretty retarded to be upset about them using zods dna to create doomsday, and taking creative liberty with the doomsday mythos to fit doomsday properly into the plot. Not even the worst of the worst of you like @RockBogart would even bother being upset about that, for a character like doomsday of all people. Doomsday is a throw away character, and a great enemy. You still have to properly set him up though. You dont just plop him in at the end, and be like here you go, beat him up guys.

You do realize you just explained what happened in Death of Superman, right? Anything about Doomsday’s back story didn’t pop up until Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey
I ain’t upset. I just think it’s a stupid plot device that has no reason to be there. Why? Doomsday is an alien. Supes is an alien. Tney established there are aliens in there. Why can’t there be a mindless one that just wants to wreck shit? Besides, look at the name of that movie, it’s Batman and Superman. The rest is whatever, everyone will be there to see Bats and Supes.
Look at The Avengers. The plot is as vanilla as you can get, but it works because well defined characters and decent action held that movie together. There is so much shoehorned into this movie without any previous baggage to help it that from what we know so far, it’s a clusterfuck.
The SRK version of this movie will beat The Force Awakens in the box office. Prep-time Batman, Hulk, Thor, Goku, etc. making appearances is a no-brainer.
Do i really have to explain to you how you can do that in a comic, to comic fans, and cant in a movie, especially in this climate of movie comic fans. Doesnt matter that doomsdays origin wasnt explained until 3 years after death of superman. Thats just nitpicking nonsense to be silly. Does that mean we dont explain doomsday 20+ years later in the cinema because derp, he didnt even have his origin story told until A WHOLE 3 YEARS after death of superman.
I don’t remember a single thing Doomsday did in the eps he was in, besides get lobotomized by Justice Lord Supes and fight with Justice League Supes. He was just a plot device so the audience would see how close Supes was getting to the Justice Lord counterpart, alonside advancing the whole Cadmus subplot. Doomsday himself didn’t matter, you could add any other brute character in there and it would be exactly the same.

Yeah, I know about. And Doomsday was only relevant because of what Lord Superman did. It way more symbolic then anything, especially how the league handled his exile at the end of the ep, alongside Flash’s disapproval, leading to further parallels with the Justice Lords. There is a large amount of back-story before it reached that point and it also sets a whole lot of stuff in motion.
Doomsday origin doesn’t matter because he doesn’t matter as a character . He was never a focal point, he was just a plot device to develop Superman’s character. Snyder said Doomsday is not the big thing of the movie and there is even more stuff… And that just means the movie is even more chock full of crap, especially something as trivial and pointless as Doomsday’s origin, without any previous movies besides MoS to fall back on.
We can live without a silly reimagined origin, just make him a alien that came to wreck shit and as a plot device to get Supes and Bats to work together. That change is just to justify Lex being in the movie, when my biggest complaint, from day 1, is that this should be Batman and Superman’s time, not a movie sized ad from what’s to come.
