The comics are in another realm altogether, though.

G1 wishes it was beast wars in terms of everything.
The cybertron games and tve cómics are what they do well. The show is absolute trash, sans Stan Bush and a few other things.

Beast Wars only Wishes it had the following and iconic characters that the Transformers universe was built upon. Only G1 can lay claim to that. Everything else is work derived from that, including Beast Wars characters.
G1 Masterpeice figures and numerous 3rd party renditions, are making big time $$$$ right now for a reason. Show some respect.
I think my biggest problem with the trailer, was the awful soundtrack. At first it sounds like a Grey Poupon commercial, then sounds almost…silly
Yeah, I really don’t think they are going to make the feature antagonist in this movie Subjekt-17.
Considering how desperate DC is to get some of that Avengers money and how ham-fisted and transparently they’re trying to force shit into this movie to make it the next billion dollar movie franchise…I’m pretty sure they’re not going to bet it all on a throwaway Superman villain that only appears in eight issues. Back in 2009.
Can’t deny the visual similarities, but I think it’s just a shitty looking Doomsday. There’s no need to look further into this stuff beyond the most obvious explanation…which is that it’s just not very good. I mean…what’s the payoff even if they do reference “Subjekt-17” - there are maybe like twelve people in the world that would even remember who that is. And even if you were one of the twelve, you wouldn’t give a shit.

I LOVE me some G1, but niggas got to take the hard look within and admit the old cartoon just wasn’t that good.
The first act of the movie, the comics, the Voice Actors, and Devastation are the best things about G1… That’s it.
Anyone without rose-tinted glasses and can see Beast Wars was better from a cartoon stand-point.
It had the benefit of not being a 30-min toy commercial.
No one denies the 80s G1 iconic characters but from a story standpoint its only claim to fame is the movie.
Beast Wars was by and far a better written show.
If were talking comics that’s a different thing but we aren’t.
