Batman: Gotham Knight DVD - anime style prequel to Dark Knight. Dir. by Bruce Timm

Is it just me, or does Batman looks JUST like Griffith, when he becomes Femto in berserk for one of his costumes?

Fuck, after reading the spoiler free review and realizing that I can pre-order Batman GK on Blu… I decided to go for it along with the Begins Gift Set.

75 min runtime (I hope I’m wrong) for GK does bother me a bit though

Uh…yeah he does, color him Silver and I couldn’t tell the difference lol.

This coming out soon? Don’t want to blow my check and miss it.

It’s being released on July 8

Damn, was hoping it was this month. Alas, poor Deadshot, we must wait longer =/

Here’s a 2:50+ minutes scene from “Gotham Knight” (featuring Batman and the Scarecrow)

Must need Windows Media Player to play this clip

Oh my god…this movie is going to be the end all be all of Batimation.

Bring the love on Timm

Do you mean “Batmanimation”?

Touche.

Also the waiting hurts, especially after the Bats/Scarecrow duel.

Watches his Batman seasons to get a cheap fix

Scene with Gordan (+ 2 others) and Batman (inside an abandoned church?):

Has Bruce Timm lost weight or am I imagining things? I thought he was a bit more plumpy a few years back.

From the look of the new video I suppose all episodes interlock in some way, despite being done by different people.

Oh, wow, the first segment was really… Japanified, to say the least. Meh, I thought the film was decent, overall.

^Same here, I mean heck u could skip it and won’t miss anything in the movie.
The very first episode was the worst IMO; the Tekkonkonkreet art totally does NOT suit Batman, he looked like a fat guy.
Oh and the ep. with the magnet thing? BISHOUNENS EVERYWHERE WTF?!

Just picked up the BLU-RAY BABY! Gonna watch it as soon as I get home. :lovin:

Hey, what’s on the second disc of the two-disc special edition?

I made it halfway through and turned it off out of boredom. Disappointed. Kevin Conroy deserves better.

Since it tends to be the same bonus stuff for the Blu-Ray like New Frontier was, for Special Features I see a Bob Kane Documentary, a Gotham City Documentary, Commentary for the flick, sneak peak at the straight to video Wonder Woman flick and 4 BTAS episodes.

I thought it was very good

The background/city art was amazing, and all of the stories evoked how rich the character Batman really is.

Some of the stories were a bit weak (compared to Batman Begins/Mask of the Phantasm, who I believe are two of the best Batman things ever) but still very solid.

My favorite was Field Test

Overal 8/10 for me.
