Plat (100% complete) Arkham City this AM. I didn’t mind the second playthrough, it was just going to do the side quests again that made me cringe at times. I will say I’m glad I didn’t have to hunt for Riddler trophies again.
How do you get those knife takedowns 100% of the time? I can only get them about 40% of the time.
Did you cheat on some of those trophies?
gettin 100% is easy actually… im finishing up the annoying 2nd set of AR testing…
knife take downs are actually pretty easy with ol batman… he has many take downs an doing this is pretty easy an its best you do that knife takedowns an weapon breaks are a must… i think i can get up to to the 300 mark i just have to concentrate an get use to timing (ie like sf an muscle memory) an use more flips instead of always tryin to counter second…
It’s a timing thing. It’s just a matter of pressing the button as the strike is coming.
About the trophies, I must admit, there were 5 that I had to hunt for as the map didn’t really help. Everything else was the map that you get from interrogating the inmates
What about the hardest puzzles? I’m asking to see if I should lame it out and look them up online, but if I do that then the Riddler would actually be right when he accuses me of cheatin’.
None of them are so hard you can’t figure em out on your own.
I dont have green thugs anymore does that mean Im done with trophy hunting for batman i still have catwoman trophies to get. ANd Optimus u are a beast i thought i was doing something getting 70-80 hit combo’s on hard but i aint close to you. I rush and get like 40-50 and just start breaking arms and legs.
My only gripe is there are too many riddler trophies. plus no Nolan movie batman skin? I’ve been rocking the batman beyond after finally finding a NOS energy drink but that sinestro corps look dope.
I mostly roll 1970 right now but i do like the earth one joint.
I didn’t cheat on the puzzles, I only cheated for 5 of the riddler trophies as the spots they were in were too damn inconspicuous. They are not that hard IMO. When you break it down, most are surprisingly reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally simple.
Thanks man. In the story mode (after I maxed out) it’s a quick fight. However, in challenge maps, it’s a very slow and painful ass-whuppin!
I agree about the trophies. I would rather have 400 puzzles than trinkets. The Armored skin from AA should have been left in this game. I would never have expected to see the Nolan outfit, but that costume would have worked. The only one that I want out of the costume pack is Year One and Sinestro corps.
I got the Batman Inc suit and as expected it doesn’t look that hot. Something about all that gray throws me off. And yeah, they should have brought back the armored suit from AA. Favorite suits are Beyond and Sinestro corps. Year One just has this really timid and innocent look to him. Earlier I also got the DLC challenge maps. Iceberg Lounge is a bitch though. Getting hit ONCE breaks me. I was on an 87 combo streak with Catwoman and one hit began my downfall.
You know it’s like that zone… You’re just wrecking everything in sight. It’s like no one can stop you and then it’s that ONE GUY. That ONE GUY and you’re like “I’m faster than you so no need to counter.” And BAM. He ruins the streak. Screw that guy.
So I finally got Joker’s Carnival. Most points I’ve gotten is 278630. Eh. I know I can do much better. Just got to put it all together and remember to bank that shit when I’m about to get hit.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
Maybe I should make a run with Catwoman and see how that turns out.
You don’t bank honestly until the system does it for you, however, It’s more of a challenge not to obviously and a great reward. Top score on PSN with the Batman is about 7 Mil. I am about 3 mil shy of that. The meter doesn’t stop once you get to level 6. It keeps going. Once you max it out, I think it’s about 1.5 mil alone and a full 2:30 back on the clock. I’ve gotten there twice. Check my post from a few weeks back, I got a vid that shows the example. BTW, Catwoman is at 10 million for the top score on PSN
Does anyone play the stealth maps?
I do, but only if I want to trick my mind every once in a while. After about 5 playthroughs on a map, you can pretty much do the same sequence over and over again. Then you’ll have a flowchart Batman. Combat can be virtually dynamic as the enemies react somewhat differently each time.
I think a lot of people play the stealth maps but they just aren’t as interesting as the combat maps. Medals are nice and all but it’s just not as satisfying. Ignoring the medals I can clear pretty much any of the stealth maps in under 2 minutes or maybe a bit past 2 minutes. My fastest clear time was 1 minute and 17 seconds.
Agreed, The fasted clear I have done was one of the first maps in the challenge menu (it’s in the steel mill). I clocked about 1:30 or so on that one. The last one in Wonder Tower is a bitch. Unless you follow their paths correctly, it will take a while. First time was at about 8 min
Combat maps are what get me going as it is forever changing, and ranking up is just old school scoring face off.

I didn’t know you could do this before, but in the beginning of the game when you break penguin’s hand when he’s cowering in the corner you can knock him out, Ithink I tried it before but nothing happened and i’m playing through again in 3d since I got that ps3 3dtv for $399 and I thought that was pretty funny
Yup, I did that Day 1. BREAKING FACES FTW!
It doesn’t change anything does it? It would be awesome if it gave him a bruise on his chin or something as when I did it he got uppercutted.
