can you still multi grapple people with the grappling hook? That was hella useful during the last game. Although, now we get to zzzzzzzap people.
Naw the multi-grapple is gone…I miss it. I kinda miss all 3 batarangs at once to. The new system is really good, but i kinda liked all 3 headin out at once. You gotta be planted longer to get all 3 out now. it’s nice being able to choose just how many you let out tho.
Do miss that sweet triple grapple tho.
yeah, if you quick fire a freeze grenade when your combo counter is above 12(?), it shoots a super blast that’ll catch 5-6 guys.
also, freeze grenades are hella useful for the one armed dudes. you can freeze them and go to work on the rest of the crowd without having to worry about that jumping slash move interupting you
Oh damn nice…I really need to experiment more with the gadgets. I mostly only use smoke, and the hot key gadgets…I wish you could set the hot keys. I would totally switch the Electric gun for freeze or smoke bombs.
rushes off to try this I didnt see that ability, just proximity freeze mines i never use. Still wish he had some damn knockout gas.
whats the last gadget? I am assuming you need to do all the AR missions to unlock it? Also, why call em AR missions? They’re just gliding, not much reality changing besides hoops.
Either way, this is the first game I’ve beaten and gone back to play more of, in a LONG time
All gadgets have a more powerful mode of attack once you get that upgrade and get your hit counter to 12. It’s not something I’ve tried before myself though.
It’s called AR because it puts something digital over reality. Like those silly 3DS Mii cards are augmented reality even though it’s not that big of a deal.
I really really really miss the triple bat claw too. Luckily the new gadgets and catwoman kind of make up for it’s loss.

So I know people were saying that Robin faces Black Mask in his DLC, well somebody show me where. I went and got the DLC today and it appears to just be a predator map. Spoiler tag it or something.
i never heard he faced Black Mask in the story mode. There is a campaign map however where he faces Black Mask, after a train ride…I think

When he shows up in the campaign, and saves you from Talia’s assassin’s, I was REALLY hoping for a fucking Robin mission there, to get to the hospital like Batman asked.
If you get a combo of 12 or higher, your freeze grenades hit multiple characters, as does your electric gun. Why oh why couldn’t you throw multiple batarangs or multi grapple as well?
Damn, NG+ is hard lol. But OH so fun!
I haven’t done Challenge Mode too much yet, so not too familiar with the different modes within. But one thing is Campaign, the other is Combat Maps, and another is custom maps.

I think it was under campaign. Select whichever one says Freight Train. It should also say Black Mask under it or somewhere near it. First part looks like a typical predator map. Like in a lab with the goons mocking Robin. Once you beat this level then it’ll show a cutscene with Black Mask fleeing and Robin chasing after him unto the train. This map is like a 2D sidescroller but at the end of it you’ll have a boss fight with Black Mask, as well as his henchmen, and one of the one armed clowns. Simultaneously.

I think any character fights Black Mask as long as you have that particular map for them, which you should. But i haven’t beaten it with Catwoman yet.

Large numbers do screw with the lock on, but doesn’t break it. Typically, if you aren’t specific with the direction via analog stick, it will go for the the closest person rather than the most threatening. The bane of my battles are the stun baton. My thing is in a large crowd, I cape stun the one that I don’t want, the enemies move to another position (from top down 45-180 degrees) and then I can disarm the one that I need to.
With the amped gadgets, here is what you get:
Batclaw >> Nothing
Batarang >> Multi- batarang
Freeze Blast >> Super Powah Blast
Gel >> More radius explosion
REC Gun (Shock) >> Force Chain Lightning
Naaa, I think they did that to make to combat more single person focused.
That’s how I roll. I love how it’s not really a timed thawing period either.
The smoke pellets helped me so many times in the campaign. I think they did balance for that because the smoke takes so long to recover, having a quick fire would be useless
The blast may be an upgrade to that gadget if I recall. You will need the Combo Frenzy gadget upgrade in the combat section to amp up their power
Correct, however it is an ability that has to be purchased with XP.
Found a way to get the GP in. Cape Stun X 3 >> Ground Pound. Very effective if you have a high multiplier. It instantly sends your enemy to the floor, and you got a free GP. Taking all these fools fight money in this game! Try it as I typically use it on the last guy in the room
[spoiler=]Beat the game now going back and completing side quests, I found all of the Mysterious Stranger missions on complete accident and finished the Phone Booth Killer. Still haven’t found where Bruce’s Parents died and am looking for the 3rd dead body Deadshot killed. Also I rescued Freeze’s wife.[/spoiler]

I found them on accident myself in an alley between buildings, but that link I posted earlier had a video with their location too. Only things I got left are the Serial Killer and finding the last of Riddler’s trophies so I can punch his face in.
The freeze grenade is the best gadget in a fight easily. You can quick fire it by double tapping R2, so if there is one of the green dudes that need interrogating I just freeze them at the jump and maul the rest of the group. Also good for guys with guns because nobody else can pick up the gun until they thaw. Somebody already mentioned the awesomeness you get with the +12 combo upgrade.

I actually watched Batman Begins last night just to take a break from the game. Then I realized I like the game’s story a hell of a lot more than the film’s.
Idk I think Batman Begins is the best Batman film and the best superhero film ever. I think that has probably the best version of Ra. In the comics he tends to be alot more evil then he really is. Ra is neither evil or good he just believes in cleansing the world of what he finds to be corrupt.
