I’m just glad new Kenshin finally has Yahiko at his “Thousand Shirahatori” age. He was such a badass when he got older.
It looks to be continuing off of the actual end of the manga, instead of DB Super’s way of being set in before the distant finale. Personally interested in how the aged up cast deals with the newcomers, including hopefully appearances by the surviving Juppongatana.
Of course, it’s funny that both Kenshin’s Hokkaido Arc and DB Super are contradicting animated productions set after the end (DB GT and Reflections), though we do know Watsuki really doesn’t like Reflections while I believe Toriyama did contribute to GT. This makes Boruto (weirdly enough) unique in the regard that there’s no GT or Reflections type deal. It’s just a straight up sequel with Kishimoto’s blessing, that doesn’t have to contend with a previous sequel work.
So Sarada looking pretty nice with that sharingan. She pulled a Kakashi (Copying ninjutsu and getting hers off faster). She also showed the genjutsu ability off Sasuke and to a lesser degree Sakura. It was defintely worth the watch.
I’m really looking forward to more detail on Ao himself and his connection with Kara. Like, does he still have the byakugan? It’s hard to tell if he still does with the craniofacial prosthetic covering the right side now.

What I liked the most was the unexpected use of a bit of science.

Using the electrolysis from all the lightning jutsu being thrown around to fill the cavern with oxygen and hydrogen to amplify her bomb kunai.
That was very Sasuke/Shikamaru like. I enjoyed that as that aswell. What i didn’t enjoy was the people complaining that she DID use it instead of out right punching the fuck out of her. Regardless that was well written.
GT literally never happened. Studio wanted to keep cashing in on the name, Toriyama said if you do it, you do it on your own. It’s not mine and is not a part of my story. All he contributed was SS4 design, because he’s nice like that.
Boruto impact palm him and his clones to get a speed boost then had his clone impact palm the real one to pull a Raditz vs Gohan esque moment. Mitzuki got bodied but I was hoping he would have went sage mode. Also since when has Hamrakei (sure I fucked it up with the spelling) been able to split into 2 blades? The most it ever did was enhance based off chakra. Although it makes sense with 2 handles but why wait so late? And does the Jougan give chakra enhancement? So many questions that need answering.

Can someone point me at what episode of the boruto anime I should start at? I want he’d the movie and I’m up to date with the manga but have no idea where the fuck the anime fits in. Y’all talking about all this shit I haven’t seen and I feel left out.
Just watch from scratch. The movie hasn’t happened yet in the anime so you get to see all the nuances of what thwy can do in the academy days.
