so for the beat a pro competition you have to pay $10 to hold your stick in a jam packed bar for a CHANCE to play the pros? i would hate holding a stick for a good 6 hours and then not even get to play a pro. last time i was there i wasnt even eligible to enter cause i play at A.I. ranbats with them, but im not even at pro status…(yet) also i heard the vip people get first priority. how long is this particular part of the event going to take place? but all that aside good luck to everyone attending! have fun and make the most of it! unfortunately i cant go due to work, but i enjoyed it last time, so it should be good.

anyways regarding all this qualifier misconception and barfight event in general, i would first like to say i am not a hater. the event itself is a really cool idea and props to gootecks for being the engine behind the whole ordeal. just a lack in preparation and some stuff not being clearly stated will always bring about some commotion and im sure its expected. as most of you can see, i think my points were valid in asking why a “console” event is having qualifiers held on “arcade” machines where there is a huge difference not only in gameplay itself but character selection. we all know how exciting it can be to see some console characters, aka YEB, rep that gen and make it hot. so why would you want an event to not even have a chance to experience this? iono… maybe just a bit naive and expecting too much from the coordinators.
