Balrog Combo/Tech Thread

Hp dash straight has a combo follow up on vtrigger cancel: Hp dash- trigger- crlp- v trigger dash punches

Figured I’d go ahead and post this here, if you go into a mk mp v-skill p target combo and do mk low dash punch v-skill, s.mp will catch 3f jabs on both techs, and hit really meaty on the back tech

I was testing out the meaty MP more and I think the last active frame whiffs on crouchers, so if they back roll and wake up with a crouching normal you’ll get hit. I had just used excel to calculate all the whiff combinations to get it, but I feel kinda meh about it now.

On another note, the final level of TAP is fully invisible and still -2 on block. Even if you actually charge it that long, you’ll only have a 1 frame window to use it as a reversal. The reversal buffer window doesn’t work on button releases. :expressionless:

Someone showed me this earlier, forward throw into heavy screw smash hits meaty on quick rise. It’s will beat 3 frame option but it interacts weird with Ken’s ex dp.

That move is -10. Is it still unsafe?

I think -3 or -4, Ken’s light tatsu hits but stand jab whiffs but it might be too far. I’m not saying it’s practical but I thought it was cool, I still have to test it on other characters.

Ryu can’t do anything other than super but Mika has a few punishes. It looks like it is -5, I’m probably only going to use it online against Kens.

According to TOOLASSISTED, the throw is +23 KDR/KDBR and hk.screw is 24f - it’s hitting on the first active frame.

Yeah, you’re right. the last active frame of s.mp definitely whiffs on crouchers. Seems you can get a similar set up with the same thing just replacing s.mk for s.mp on 4f jab characters. The s.mp set up doesn’t really seem worth using anymore but the s.mk on 4f jab characters will come in handy

So can someone make a tutotial on what vskill can be cancler into i cant get the shit to come ofr after a hit confirm i can do it off the targrt combo medium kick medoum punch vskill tap punch. But thats it cant vskill off a dash strsight hit confirm or anything else im beyond confused im very new to fighting games

You cannot cancel dash punch on hit with v skill. In order to cancel anything with v skill, you have to press v skill before the punch even hits

That’s only in vtrigger you can skill after a dash and also of ex
