Balrog (Boxer) Combos

That is an incredible combo :o

cs.HK -> cr.MK is such an incredible pain in the ass and the real reason that combo wouldn’t ever be worth it, that 1-frame link above all others is the only one I virtually never connect. Far LP -> cr.HK and cr.MK -> cr.MP are mad easy, but that one, man…

So is anyone using c.lp -> c.mp after an ex upper instead of c.lp -> c.lk?

J.HK -> C.MP -> Ex Upper -> C.LP -> C.MP -> fiece hb is 412 Damage for 1 EX

And really even though it isnt his easiest combo, c.mp is a good frame trap. Its a pretty safe combo id think

jabs into headbutt is his most reliable combo lol

that c.lp -> c.mp is imho too easy to mess up (especially online) for the 30-40 more damage it would grant you.

I’d be so disgusted if i was ever hit by that thing.
A twelve second combo is just maddening.

Just wondering, is it possible to plink the ultra input? I was trying it out earlier and I kept getting throws, FAs or taunts. I don’t have my ps3 atm so I can’t do more testing, but will disabling taunts and plinking with HK/HP work?

impressive, but with the scale back in damage i don’t really think it is worth it IMO, when i looked at that video (ie [media=youtube]DEYR7tZxJeo#t=2m05s[/media]). Good way to show off your button pressing skills nonetheless:smile:

whilst on the topic with links etc, i’m not sure whether you guys know these links but here goes:

C MK > C LP > S LP > S HK. This one only works of the C MK is a meaty one, otherwise the jabs will miss. This is simular to Guiles links using ***C LK > C LP > S LP > S HP ***or say C LK x2 > S LP > S HP plus other variations

Boxer also do a link combo by doing say S LK > S LP > S LP > S HK.

Timing is the key when doing these links otherwise not all hits will register

Sometimes i wonder if these strings are really worth doing in an actual match, especially when you can simply end a combo with say a dash straight etc. but doesnt hurt to know i suppose

The cr. HK link after the jabs deals pretty good damage. Often, I don’t have a charge after moving forward and using jab pressure, but when I hit them, I try to hit the cr. HK link.

Cr.HK is definitely the way to go on these link combos. Untechable knockdown. P-linking the Cr. HK is key to hitting it consistently.

I’m not sure if it’s a combo, I’ve seen others do it in videos - dash straight punch after TAP.

The dash straight is done almost as soon as the TAP is finished. I’ve tried it many times and I can’t do it. Is there a special timing trick to it?

It can combo if TAP (not sure which level) hits as a counter hit.

I thought that after a CH lvl 1 TAP you could do a c.lp xx dash straight.

Never knew you could go directly into dash straight. You sure about this?

Yeah, you can do a dash punch right after a CH Lvl 1 TAP.

Weird. Lvl 1 TAP is +2 on hit. If its CH lvl 1 TAP it’s +5 on hit. dash straight comes out in 7 lp, 6 mp/hp/ex version. So it shouldn’t be possible. Only dash upper and swing blow should be possible, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it happen.
