Bad 3s Match Videos on youtube

c-ryod,

like the concept of the thread but I would hate to be the person int he video being critqued. haha.

it dosent look like anyone is taking the bait of the original post so I’ll give it a shot…

I watched the videos a couple days ago, so some of it is kinda fuzzy. Main thing was that makoto got a lot of parries but didnt try for any resets or even any strait up damage. Same player also used a lot of moves that could lead to more set ups but then would jsut throw out some more pokes instead of doing hayate cancel or rushing in for a karakusa/throw/whatever. Overall looked like the idea was there just didnt have the execution to tie up loose ends. I can have that same problem from time to time. haha.

With all that being said, everyone is on a different skill level. A couple videos of any one player usally isnt going to tell you a lot. I’d say most of us would notice a lot of our own mistakes if we watched videos of ourselves playing.

I recorded replays for that purpose, now I face the problem I can’t watch them due to version differences:’(

I played Cajun Strike at Vtyme in Richmond.

He’s indeed good. We had a really good battle it was like 1-1 then he peaced out my Q pretty hard the third match, knocking me out of the tournament.

He went on to a strong 3rd place finish behind Justin Wong (1st), Ricky Ortiz (2nd). I think Exodus got 4th and KoFiend got 5th, but don’t quote me on that.

this thread should be closed.

I would disagree that the person would hate to be the one being critiqued. Having my game analyzed was the way I got from a good player to a top player.

you started it:/

where is lisayoran when you want to ask him a real question?

That Makoto made me wanna cry and throw up at the same time. The dude didnt kara-karasa <sp?> :annoy:
