I don’t know about that Patato. I am a Bowser player and i have won more matches than lost w/ him. And i don’t play begginer players. Eveyone that i have played has mastered the game. Maybe its just the way i use him…?
Maybe it is on how you just you Fox or Falco that determines your opinion of the two. But to me I have had more success than w/ Falco than Fox. Maybe i should give Fox more runs at it and see if i change my mind.
Fox’s Illusion goes farther. Everything thing else (and probably the Illusion as well) has been said. Fox is better.
Uhm, she’s the best anti-Fox/Falco (unless some new strats have come along that I don’t know about). Peach 101 - go to training, have Fox, Falco, Ganon, or Falcon crouch. Do Peach’s down smash. 45% later you should see a faint hint as to why why Peach is dope.
PS: I’m better with Falco as well. Fox is better, but Falco plays more like I’m used to. Fox also requires more manual dexterity than I have on a GC pad. Peach maxes out my GC pad skills
To everyone, if you don’t know what L-Cancelling is, then you are…
A MvC2 player asking what AHVB, Fly Cancel, or wavedashing is
A KoF2k2 player asking what Max Mode cancelling is
A T4 player asking what JFLS is
A CvS2 player asking what Roll Cancelling is
A GGXX player asking what Back-dash cancelling is (and who has it), etc.
Not that it’s a bad thing considering a lot of people have a hard time taking SSBM as serious as the above games (even if it is better than at least 1 of the games on that list).
Dude calm down. Keep it cool. Don’t be the one popus guy that every forum has. I know what L-canceling is, i was just having a horrible timing for it so i just asked how to do it.
I still think Falco is better (maybe bc i haven’t given Fox a chance). Once i give Fox a spin i tell yah what i think. Falco will still be better no matter what.
Wesley, I like the header above your av. I should have put something similar on my own…
Anyway, to add something beneficial…
The pink puff (Jigglypuff) is all right. I like playing it (I still don’t know if the puff is a boy or a girl) because I just love putting people to sleep. Now that I think about it, Jiggly can put someone to sleep while a teammate helps to KO the person…
The next time we do this Melee thing, I’ll be sure to remember that…
Hybrid LOLZ on the ID Tag!!! So everyone is going for a Smash tourney? Sounds like fun. Even though I suck I’ll go just to learn, and watch, I’ll probably buy a GC Friday so I can get some practice in. Zelda/Shiek will be my new character, and Falco I’ll polish up on.
That sig. is lame and so very true at the same time. Very lame. Westley you should record our matches. That would be a good idea. But if you do you have to give me a copy. I wanna see how i play. I think we all should be watching out for GEne. He tells me that he is studying the game. And we all know how Gene is when he studies a game. If he masters that my whole life would turn topsy turvy. I wouldn’t know what to believe anymore? If he does master the game, i will stop him from being the best. .
You can find even more in the DC Hub, the infomation to get there can be found on the same site you posted or the one from the tier list post above I believe.
Guess who spent a good three hours reading up on FAQs???
I’m crazy…
Anyway, certain people better watch it now. I’m already starting to get myself a strat with THE PUFF! I will show all Jigglypuff haters that the pink puffball will reign supreme…
Yeah, then I wake up and realize that I’ve lost my twentieth match in a row…
I however, have also been studying the game myself.
Trying to get back into SSBM after 3 months of not playing this game.
Marth will own you all at the tourney!
plaer_dos:
Do you want a video tape of the matches or do you want just the video file of each match?
Hybrid: Just give a file of the matches would be fine.
Nin.M: Here is the first think that you should learn w/ the Puff. It is the most basic combo w/ air and it is easy to set up. And if you do it right…Instant kill
Jump in Drill Kicks > when you are in the same frame as your opponent…Double Edge (move that puts you to sleep).
If you learn the combo you will do good damage and some quick kills.
Still waiting on someone to post a Link Strat page…
Learn the Wall of Pain, and things’ll get much easier. It’s basically just a constant barrage of B-airs, but it’s far more effective than it sounds. Very hard to get through unless the opponent has a good projectile, and great for edge-guarding too.
As far as comboing into Rest (the name of the move the guy above me is talking about) goes, it’s very risky business. Sure, it will kill anyone above 30% instantly. But if you miss, you eat a fully charged smash (or worse when some characters are around), which usually means GGPO for Jiggs. There are a few opportunities when it’s pretty much guaranteed (immediately after a roll if your spacing is right, and stuff like that), but just be aware of the possible consequences.
Anyway, I play Ganon. I’d like to say I’m a pretty solid player even though I don’t wavedash much, but I need to work on SHFFL’ing.
For whoever asked, Ken is the best player in the US, and Azen is up there too.
Someone already did. This has really good stuff even if you don’t play Link and want in-depth at the basics. I suggest getting something to eat before reading this because it is looooooong. BTW that tier list is rather inaccurate. It might be kinda old. I have to go to work now; but when I get off I’ll find an updated one.
