Are U prepared to go to war with a warlock?

haha… so wheres this gay ass event where they are bannin sent? HAD TO BE PHX I BET!

Lightning divekick? Psh, my new bnb has that and TWO buster charges. So excited to practice that again tonight after work.

The more I think about it, the more Sentinel is a good idea to put on my team. He’s simple and stupid enough that I can develop my other two characters quickly without having to worry about my third spot, and then swap him out for a third pretty organically when the time comes. Thinking either Dormammu, Taskmaster, or Doom.

So far for me MVC3 online has been great. i play with my brother from NY and its way less laggy then it was playing SSF4 online. Online is not perfect (its not perfect for any game) but itd good enough when i wanna play people but cant play offline.

@armando. If you do decide to start hosting i have Asus monitor, ps3,game,and 1 stick. just keep me posted

Funny thing is, munchi is playing the ps3 version and is getting good results. Up your interwebz game

Ed, do it. Aiab visit is really overdue

nah I need to up my hosting game and get you guys gathering again east side
glad to hear ps3 isn’t doing bad

muji: lightning > blaster

munchi: I keep forgetting… i’ll keep it in mind

scott: so your final team is gonna be Task Master, Hsien-ko, and Shuma…?

also, tucson stole post 1000…

Will do.

Did I steal post 1,000. Then hells ya!

armando? shuma, wtf? i must be missing the joke or something? haha

i dropped wesker and changed my team order. got tired of lei lei dying in one hit randomly at the start of the match to a fast character. so i decided to drop wesker, add on wolvie(my old main from xsf and mvc1)as my point character now.

so its wolvie/leilei/task

wolvie does damage and is fast, plus his playstyle is familiar to me. he also builds a lot of meter. so i can get to a level 3 pretty fast, get a combo, dhc into leilei armor super, dhc into task super to finish it off. now i safely got task/leilei bullshit safely ready. pretty good combo so far.

^ right now im running Arthur, Magneto, Doom. gold armor bottle assist is so good when mag is on point

sorry, forgot to respond to this =) you are right, sometimes it is beyond the person’s control on how good their internet is(aside from telling their isp what the problem is). but there is more to it than just simply plugging shit into a modem/router and everything else is on the isp. The quality/length of the cables can be a factor. cheapass/crappy modems and routers can be to blame too.

yeah you got your friends to play with. cool, but if you dont travel a lot, and i mean a lot, you arent going to get the experience you need, facing unknown factors(teams, characters, strategies). Top players are on top, not just cuz they play a lot, its because they play a lot of different people with vastly different styles. That, used to be reserved for cali and NYC since they had a large saturation of players. Now that there is online, anyone can get unlimited experience, at any time. now you see all these “nobodies” taking big dawgs out.

im just saying, if you are content with just battling with local buddies, thats cool. But i think you are just limiting yourself, if you want to be a serious contender. No one is questioning that offline is better, thats rhetorical. But online has been proven to be a vital tool these days.

I’m starting to like Dr. Doom a lot, he fits my team really well offensively, and his assists are pretty badass. Only problem I really have is now I’ve got a really squishy team: X-23 (825), Zero (800), Doom (1000). Sentinel’s 1300 health offset it before, but maybe I just need to play more carefully now.

that how we do it bby… and yall didnt even notice till it was shhwwwaaaay late

Warlock$ blooowws dust all ovr

yeah sent is a reeeaaalllly good place holder

jon, you know what. i learned in this game, since damage is high, the possibility of you losing a character(damn near any character) on 1 hit, is very high. i say dont worry TOO much about life

Exactly. Life is like no biggie in this game.

and this is whyhealth levels dont matter much and why xfactor and high damage are a bad combination

i would have hated to be on the receiving end of that if this game was in an arcade and i plunked down a buck just to have that happen

holy crap! that is one dirty sanchez. …hmm that’s a good name for that.

Hey has anyone played online in both ps3 and 360. Got a question. The few times I have played online on ps3 I feel like I have trouble finding quality players. I know they are around, it’s just a pain. I’m thinking of picking up the 360 version today it seems more people are playing on 360. I know at least most of you guys do.

Dude scott I don’t think that I want to play this game competitively after watching that and having it happen to me by someone I beat at every single other game. That shit is like 40 times worse than eddie.

Ill be playin next week!

yall can gimmie your info on this game during that time

DOUBLE XP WEEKEND AGAIN!!!**

MVC3 is fun and all, but it really just seems too easy. Normally I have something to constantly reach for whether it be certain setups, tech traps, harder bnb’s… but this game just seems shallow in that regard… hopefully it evolves in someway, because although it’s incredibly fun, I have no way to really differencient my play style from someone elses. I think some people give too much credit to xfactor as to how it adds complexity to the game also… it seems like an artificial source of excitement in a relatively bland game. at least thus far.

PS this is not me saying it’s a bad game or that it is not fun. it’s just not as challenging as others i’ve played in the past and in some ways it’s a turn off. a plus side of it being that the amount of people you can have jump in and play with you is HUGE in comparison to games like gg where you have to sit in training mode for a year before you can compete.
